Hey guys, super excited to be back with another WORLD RECORD speedrun! ⏱️
This week's release is the first Scrin mission: London... After considering the mission a little the advantages and disadvantages of the Scrin assault were obvious. To put it simply, Scrin have some great early game units, but once your enemy becomes estabilished (or entrenched), they get taken apart pretty quickly.
We therefore needed to hit the Southern GDI base quickly before it becomes established - like the Northern base - and then take out some of the squishier targets for an injection of those delicious credits.
Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliment were woefully prepared for even a small force. Despite their Heroic status the guards were easily overcome with some micromanagement and base defenses. Takes a moment in British.
As you can see, it was simple case of retreating from the Southern base and hiding the Seeker Tanks in the corner, and then attacking the GDI Power Plants after their forces were dispatched or distracted. Then we use our bolstered forces to take the base apart easily.
I think for the run, and inevitable improvements of the run, the issue is the destruction of the final GDI base efficiently. Everything else is relatively straight-forward.
