The penny dropped today on what happens with that fourth gear vacuum activation switch and why it adds to the total timing. Thank you for this demonstration.

Hi , just watching your videos over the last few days has made me realise 30years ago we didn’t have a clue what we were doing tuning our cars ourselves 🤦🏻♂️ Where are you next doing a show as I’d love to pop along and see you at work 👍🏻

Potentially Scotland in June. And you are right, people don’t actually know how a lot of stuff actually works, and assumption runs amok!

hi AC, great video as usual. quick question though as its not mentioned, how are you/or are you making compensations for the AFR when the engine is under load ? under load on a dyno (or on the road of course) as im sure you know, the cylinder is going to produce much greater heat interested to know how you are calculating this and working it into the lambda you are seeing. thanks! p.s what are you using to read the lambda? cheers

I am not making any compensation.

This is my job this weekend! Thank you!!! I’m also having issues when I go to accelerate (particularly when cold) the revs drop right down and I have to blip the throttle to bring it up. Once it’s warm it tends to behave. Any ideas what it might be? It had the vac taken off a while ago when being set up too. It’s a 998 A+

Cold engines shouldn’t run properly until warmed up.
