“Wrestlemania is the draw not the Rock” 💯

I get what he's saying (and yes I know this is from almost 10 years ago), but the Rock brings a ton of eyes to WWE. People will still watch WrestleMania regardless, but Rock brings/brought more eyes to Mania than any other individual on the card in my opinion. Having said that, I hate his comebacks as well and wish they respected the full-timers more.

There was absolutely no reason for Punk to not main event 29, aside from anything else it made 'Once In A Lifetime' seem a rip-off.

@@Walnut00 i actually don't think Rock would have give a damn if Punk was involved or not. He even himself said that the Original Plan was for Punk to go over at the Rumble, not losing twice back to back. Cena and Punk always had some respect for each other and knew their Chemistry is insanely good, mabye the best ever. Cena going over both Punk and Rock would have made it even so much better overall. Cena pins Rock. The Once in a Lifetime thing doesn't get damaged in retrospect. Punk gets the Main Event he deserves.

It just shocks me so much to see CM Punk back in the WWE because if anybody has a case for why they would never ever in 1 million years return it’s him, the staph infection/mrsa shitshow where he almost fucking died alone, Seth Rollins, a guy who he even claims in the same interview that CM punk did so much for his caree, calls CM punk selfish, don’t get me wrong, Seth is a great wrestler, with a strong work ethic, but he’s off his rocker with that statement, CM punk being left out of the main event of wrestlemania. Yes, was the final straw, but mix that in with poor booking, even as champion, having to put over part-timers and immediately they walk away, And pressure to work with injuries that with the right rest and rehab would be resolved in a month or two, and then being put in dangerous matches with dangerous opponents, I mean, you can’t seriously say he has no reason to be outraged, walk away and yes, sue these motherfuckers for royalty checks that they withheld that were his, and their shit bag doctor, well actually I guess the doctor sued them, and in the process, blew up his relationship with the other guy in the podcast. Great to see him back but I hope everyone sees why it took him 10 years.

As much as I agree with most things CM Punk says, this one even before researching I know there's no way CM Punk had more buyrates than The Rock.

Yes but Rocks a mega star. He transcends wrestling. Rock brings all the casuals and fans from the attitude era.i stopped watching wwe for years. When I heard rock came back. I watched regularly. Wehen he left. I stopped watching untill he came back again. And Austin return also brought me back. So I respect punk. But I don’t agree with this at all. Rock draws money. He always has. Nobody has gotten the reaction rocks gotten when he returns. Loud pops. Everyone knows who the rock is. He’s a household name. Period.

Sounds nice to say but honestly The Rock is a way bigger draw than you think people who haven't watched wrestling are tuning back in because he's gonna be at mania.

If you think this is about CM punk having an ego, you clearly haven’t been listening to the whole podcast, let’s forget about the booking and shit like that, even though how ridiculous it is anyway, he goes to a doctor complaining of a lump that wasn’t there before, progressively gets worse and worse after week, weeks turn into months, still won’t cut it out because he’s a piece of shit, takes it to a real doctor, tell him it’s MRSA, caused by a full-blown staff infection, has to cut it out and get them on the right and antibiotics instead of the Z-Pak they’ve been giving him, so much he shit himself in the ring, and being booked in dangerous matches three weeks after knee surgery, I don’t think any of us have room to call any of these guys crybabies because that’s a lot of shit to endure, you would be up in arms too and so would I if you worked in the wrestling industry or any sport for that matter and your health was neglected and disregarded so severely to the point where you actually could’ve died, MRSA’s no joke, oh yeah, and WWE completely and totally attempting to withhold money that he earned from him, and trying to pull even more bullshit in court, one trying to retro breach his contract, two making it all about themselves in their defense about their no compete clause “ your clients gonna go to TNA and his platform will be fucked WWE” a prime example of people who think the world revolves around them, CM Punk is not a crybaby, and in fact, is tougher than most people, a survivor, literally
