The gradual transformation of Punk in AEW has been fantastic. From happy to be here and smiling Punk, to settling in and becoming that Punk we all know. What a journey and ride this has turned out to be.

It's the impeccable delivery and timing that makes him who he is during a promo. So many guys are great talkers who are either given great lines or improvise really well, but so many guys falter with timing. What should be a killer line falls flat because of how it was delivered. CM Punk is the master.

The human body can't pump enough blood to your face on a small blade job to cover your whole face in a few seconds. Even if it could you wouldn't be able to give a promo while still drenched in blood, you would be seeing a doctor. It's obvious there was some fake blood used in this spot.

For all the complainers saying Punk hasn’t been the same…… this was clearly the plan so that they could have a reason for him to flip that switch again which makes sense, he falls back in love with the sport and is happy and someone comes along and drags him back down to that dark place he was before. This is the true start of main event Punk again.

That is actually the only huge problem with this feud. It is so goddamn personal, real and intense, that you need Punk to either win, go completely off the rails or retire for this feud to come to a worthy conclusion. And all of those possibilities have huge problems: - Punk winning: Emotionally fitting ending, but MJF, who is at a border between great wrestler and all-time great would be thrown back a few years - Punk losing it and turning heel: well if anyone with that status can generate heat, it's either Punk or Jericho. But I don't think a heel Punk would be a great idea, given how the heels (at least in my opinion) are more and further up the AEW hierarchy. - Ending his career? Possible, maybe as semi active color-commentator. But the way Punk looks talks and wrestles, I want to see more of him.

The fact that MJF can stand up to Punk in the promos and do equally as well speaks volumes about the true talent he is. Punks gonna take him to a new level. This feud literally is making me love wrestling again.

AEW always impresses us. We already know they will never go PG because they care about the wrestling fans unlike that other company. This promo was golden. They sell gold since day one and I think it goes to show how much they care about the fans. They truly are awesome even in May 2022. Tony Khan is a genius. Literally he is a genius. AEW is the future of pro wrestling. It is the next big thing. And they are original most of the time

The key line in this promo and mark my words on this, Is this line: "I will become a monster...To fight the monsters of this world" ;) And Punk, MJF, & Tony. Thanks for using the imput. One last thing and you guys should 100% consider doing. Use the Miseria Cantare by AFI (Punk's ROH Theme) for his entrance on Sunday. It's a anthem song for one and everything about this feud, The meaning & lyrics behind that song, The usage of past elements & career parallels, Fits this feud to perfection. I already got a visual for how the entrance should be produced. Instead of "Clobbering Time" at the entrance, Scream "INCINERATE" at that moment in the song and when he gets on the top rope and yells out, Looking at MJF, "LOVE, YOUR HATE". I also think it's the direction they should go in, For Punk's future.. Coming full circle.

I didn't expect this to air on Rampage but Damn🔥

Honestly the biggest cloud over AEW's head is that this guy showed up for two years and gave the company the best feud it's ever had still to this day. It felt like he raised the bar but almost no one could reach it and since he's left the bar has dropped.

This sounds like the CM Punk of Ring Of Honour. Fitting given the recent announcement.

The parallels between this feud and the one he had with Raven in '03 are something else dude, he even countered MJF by referencing an even older line from that feud, becoming a monster to fight the monsters of the world. Where Raven was then, Punk is now, and yet he's still who he was almost twenty years later. Long term storytelling at it's best, and damn is this feud killing it!

The last sentence took the heart whole heartedly

Can't wait to see the conclusion for this rivalry at Wrestlemania

Mickey Gall welcomed cm chump with several bolo punches and a savage choke hold submission..

In the build up to this match, I keep thinking about one thing: CM Punk's dog collar match against Raven in ROH. 20 years later now and Punk is filling Raven's role as the grizzled Veteran and MJF is filling Punk's role as the new generation of talent. There is very beautiful symmetry hidden under all the pints of blood.

or if punk loses, it's a way to PUSH THE YOUNGER GENERATION!!!! MJF is a huge CM Punk fan.... so for MJF to have his hero push him would mean more to him than Punk winning....

@@kingjezza6567 MJF won in Chicago technically twice. And when I was there live, everyone was so damn disappointed BOTH TIMES. So yeah, I think Punk wins Revolution, but then Max wins a 3rd match later down the line.

@@ClandonV6 And when I was there live. Everyone wasn't even too pissed off, but disappointed BOTH TIMES and when Rampage was being taped, the energy of the crowd was kind limp, which is something you do not want from a Chicago crowd.
