No matter how you look at it, Punk is the world champion who is basically the face of the company, he just embarrassed his boss, coworkers and the company by having a public meltdown. MJF isn't turning face. He's smart enough to realize his strength lies in his arrogant heel persona, he's probably going to be in the championship main event scene as a heel and use this as a leverage to negotiate for that big mania paychecks from wwe when his contact expires. Unless he's very loyal to AEW which I don't think he is. If Tony khan had any clue about wrestling talent he would have handled MJF smartly.

Yes, Kenny, The Bucks are unprofessional asf and need to be stripped if their EVP status and any decisions they have over creative and booking, but CM Punk also spoke over Tony Khan so many times and acted like he was the big boss It's quite clear that CM Punk is literally the Hulk Hogan to his Eric Bischoff, the same way Undertaker is to Vince McMahon

It's his own fault. I said it from the beginning. The bucks have 0 clue what "professional wrestling " is. Just because they wrestle and bump around doesn't make them "pro wrestlers" hell I can cut open an apple and attempt to sew it together doesn't mean I'm a surgeon. I asked them how could anyone pass on the deal WWE offered: high 7 figures(8.5mil probably) a year, guaranteed wrestlemania co main event spot(probably with new day) and an option that if not happy they could leave in 6 months. They said "were not anybody". That's when I new they weren't interested in being the best, they just want to play with their friends. If you don't succeed in wwe in some capacity you can't say youre the best. Alot of great players in Japan baseball, but you can't say you're the best unless you've made it in mlb. And when I saw that they were running the asylum not the owner as it should be, I knew this would eventually blow up. Maybe its all a work, but punk isn't that good of an actor. And punk should take a look around, if it wasn't for other talent he couldn't wrestle so to say their first mill gate is because of him is nothing but his ego. Its why ALEISTER wants to leave, fish is gone, cody saw this bs a year ago. This is all on Tony. He's a mark with money and allowed the talent to use his Fandom to run a company without any knowledge of how the business works. Now if this is all a work...good job but 2 little 2 late. Mjfs promo and the exodus tells me something isn't right. And it starts with Tony and the bucks.

Punk sold out the biggest location an AEW event had an event at on a rumor, and then had to make it the first part of the show, instead of the end which was initially planned, because they couldn't control how loud the fans non stop CM Punk chants were. Not 1 guy on that roster could do that, then instantly made their merch site crash for literal hours quickly becoming the most popular shirt prowrestlingtees ever had, so they're not even in Punks league.

All the EVP's have to be fired and demoted publicly in order for Tony Khan to "regain control".

Punk just being real... he may come off as a prick but Hes there to do his job. Hes great in ring and great on mic and is easily a top star in the business. He seems to have put Colt Cabana in the rearview mirror but Colt cant handle it.. seems like pure jealousy and even tho I do like Hangman...Its not his problem to get involved in. They're rightly upset bc Punk went out on live TV and attempted to bury probably the second or third biggest babyface in the company. He can say that Hangman went into business for himself but they were attempting to sell a PPV main event with like a 2 week build. Punk took those things personally and has been crying about it ever since when in reality it was probably just a wrestling promo like alot of AEWs with some true feelings just exaggerated. And the fact that TK is sitting next to Punk while he's bashing some of the biggest stars in the company(and the guys who were his partners in the beginning of this venture) like he's co-signing what Punks saying scares the shit out of me.

there was more that happened backstage. after Punk left, an altercation occurred in the locker room between two groups. while being interviewed you could hear it happening. TK didn't have his phone with him so Jericho had to tell him that everything was settled you can hear him in another video say "some shit went down" and it was handled. basically the Elite got into a fight with Punk and Ace Steel. this was not a work. because of what Punk is doing in AEW, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks have threaten to quit the company. Looks like TK is going to have to make a decision. cuz it looks like all Punk is doing is stirring up shit and it's causing the company problems. it's being said that all was peaceful in AEW until Punk was hired. then it all went to hell.

Great stuff. Love AEW

well this is just going to heat up the backstage stuff even more. I think at this point its a civil war back there and TK looks nervous as hell.

TK should've just tell Punk that's enough. Punk doesn't need to talk about his relationship with Colt Cabana, especially mentioning Hangman Page. He doesn't need to go too far. It's going create huge drama that some of talents may threaten to quit AEW.

He let people like Punk took advantage of him. You look back and listen to Eddie Kingston, Hangman, and MJF past work-shoot promos on Punk. It's all sounded legit.

Eh IMO, he did all of this drama and backstage heat stuff to get fans' reaction. And he always gets those reactions no matter what he does. People will love it or hate it. That's what made CM Punk the "best" at what he's doing.

They even made the Trios titles specifically to give Kenny and the Bucks something to hold (according to Tony himself), and the only logical reason for them dropping the tag titles to hastily put together midcard talent is so they wouldn't have to drop them to FTR. They really need to take a step back and look where they actually are in terms of talent and experience. Kenny's return was one of the lowest points of ratings on that episode of TV and the reasons are there for all to see

Jericho goes off about how brilliant and creative MJF is and how he predicts MJF will be their top babyface. And that folks is all you need to know about Punk.

Colt has been working for AEW. Once Punk was signed Colt stopped being used. Colt is now demoted to Ring Of Honor. 3 months ago Punk and Hangman Page were against each other. Well Adam Page took it upon himself to bury Punk on live TV without it being part of the script over Colt not being used cause Hangman, Omega and the Bucks are friends with Kosher Colt. This is on YT.... Well Punk comes back from injury after 3 months and the 1st thing he does is call put Hangman on live TV when it wasn't part of the script. Now what u just watched tonight is the culmination of it all.

I hate to say it, but even though Punk/Colt beat WWE's backed lawsuit, the WWE still kind of won in the end. It broke up a friendship between two Indy darlings who came up together in this business of professional wrestling. Won the battle, lost the war (or vice versa.)

@@billywashere6965 - When I heard Hornswoggle’s story about how Punk ghosted and cut off all ties with him just because he asked for a mutual friends phone number, I didn’t believe it or thought there was more to it. Now, after hearing more things about Phil, I wouldn’t put it out of the realm of possibility that he did cut off a friend just for that reason alone.

TK needs to get control of his company. He needs to start by getting real professionals in the EVP positions. Active wrestlers have ZERO business in those spots.

There's a pro and con to everything. If an EVP or higher position has a wrestling background, he/she knows what should and shouldn't happen like HHH running NXT back then. Unless you're a big wrestling fan and would dedicate for the business, like Billy Corgan and the NWA. But, if one decides to do business for selfish reasons, that's a whole different story. It's all management at the end of the day

Being a person who went to school for 13 years doesn’t qualify a person to be a superintendent of schools. And being an INDY wrestler doesn’t qualify Kenny, Matt or Jeff to be an EVP at AEW. AEW will either grow or wither beyond this point. If TK wants to grow his company, he better hire new EVPs with high-level management experience in the WRESTLING BUSINESS. Otherwise, AEW settles in alongside IMPACT and NWA as just another sub WWE-level wrestling company.

@@Natef321 he fought Micky Gall who mauled him and Dana put Punk against him because he thought so low of Gall that he thought Punk could stand a chance against him. Gall isn’t a good fighter at all. Hahahaha Mike Jackson who Punk fought second is a terrible fighter not even worth mentioning. The way Punk fights a high school wrestler could kick the shit out of him. He throws punches like winded fat fuck and doesn’t know how to properly shoot for a takedown. He could fight a flyweight and still get destroyed. What’s ironic is he calls himself a wrestler but can’t actually wrestle for shit. CM Punk is a fake tough guy with an ego the size of sun.

@@Natef321 I'm almost 200% positive Omega and Hangman could take punk in a shoot. Both those guys can catch-as-catch can, and Omega is actually good and fluent enough to hang with Bryan Danielson, who is as legit as they come when it comes to catch-as-catch can. Punk wouldn't stand a chance in a shoot.

So Hangman in a promo basically says that Punk is a cancer and he needs to protect the locker room from him having any power bc he will ruin everything(that's the jist I believe). Punk gets so mad over that one comment, that was said during a promo to sell a ppv main event with almost no other story involved other than the title, that he demands an apology(again for a wrestling promo) goes out on live TV and tries to bury Page by calling him out knowing he's not coming out making him look like a coward to the casual audience. Then proceeds to continue talking about and now he's bashing all the EVPs with the boss sitting beside him which is obviously going to cause even more friction between the guys at the top of the company and dividing the locker room between the two sides.......sooo Punk got mad over a promo and then does everything the guy said during said promo. This better be some kind of storyline, maybe a battle for control the Elite vs TKs guys. If not then things could get bad for AEW if Punks stays around. You never heard about this kind of thing before he got there.

Exactly! All these people taking Punk's side and blaming Hangman look ridiculous. Punk is literally being everything Hangman said he was. A locker room cancer.

Why the hell did even the version AEW posted have a distorted deep voice? I am so confused

It's one thing being heated and being a "top guy" but the inmates are running the Asylum here for sure. You'd never see anyone cut off Vince if he tried to speak or even nowadays with Triple H or Stephanie. Regardless, It's kinda uncomfortable to see this kinda thing where the work environment in a locker room is filled with all this animosity and people going into business for themselves etc.

But Hangman wasn't wrong. Literally look at the situation: Everything Hangman said about Punk was 100% true, and Punk is doing exactly what Hangman said he would. I don't get how people don't see that?

I just find it funny it not only took so long for the response but why is Adam never round when punk talks like this I would’ve been done gave him UFC flashbacks 😂

I don't know what is going but now I'm interested.

As someone who's been a CM Punk fan, AEW needs to cut ties before the cancer spreads. Seeing this side of him makes me cringe, and seeing Tony just bow down to him, Tony needs to grow a backbone and stand up for himself and not let Punk interrupt him and step on his toes.

He never said anything negative and even praised guys like FTR, Will Hobbs, Ricky Starks, Darby Allin and Bryan Danielson, those who could carry this company instead of a bunch of children like The Elite or the delusional has been Chris Jericho

I never heard Adam Page say "you got Colt Cabana get fired" in a promo. CM Punk is being a little dramatic here. Adam Page said "I am saving AEW from you" and CM Punk took a promo in kayfabe personal.

Yeah but the right way of doing it is to actually communicate with your opponent behind the scenes. Or put yourself in their shoe and think is this ok to talk about on TV and what not. Like how Eddie was furious after Sammy was body shaming him.

I'm starting to see why Vince McMahon had so much control over the TV product. He kept talent from airing their dirty laundry in front of the camera. I get wanting to let the wrestlers have some creative freedom in their characters and promos, but Tony Khan needs to start having promo bullets and major statements require his approval before going to TV. That way shit like this Hangman Page thing and Sammi Guevara and Eddie Kingston don't happen.

This is the problem with these press conferences, journalists will ask the questions they want to know and wrestlers, still pumped on adrenaline and walking the line between shoot and work will sometimes lose control.
