The matches ,the performance, won't be what brings down this company ultimately. The fact that Tony is a clown, and a mark is what will bring down the company.. He wanted everybody to like him more than McMahon, and because he was more concerned about that, these are the dynamics of his company now. Until he actually becomes a real man, and stop being a fan boy, and a bootloader, until he stops behaving that way, the company won't change for the better.

Seems funny to me that the only people that have had a problem with him all come from a certain circle. While the young guys who aren't cliqued up keep giving interviews about how much they love having him there. Also seems strange that something which happened back in May made him want to quit, but just two weeks ago he had tears in his eyes at comicon talking about how grateful he was to be back and how he was gonna do it for as long as he's able. And I wouldn't think anything of it were it not for the fact that one of the people involved belongs to a group that has most of the wrestling media in their pocket, and a history of trying to discredit anyone that doesn't embrace their style of wrestling. See what no one wants to mention is all the little potshots they've been taking at him and Danielson both since they got there, and it was MJF and FTR who were their targets before that. See the theme there?

He got a Z pak from the WWE doctor while wrestling with a staph infection and the doctor refused to diagnose it and treat it. During his last days in WWE, he was concussed but the company was more worried about him going out there and performing rather than his health. Lastly he was fired on his wedding day. Also, the problems in AEW didn't start with Punk. MJF had his problems backstage, Cody has his issues, the Big Swole controversy (even though she was the one who started the problem). You're refusing to see the full picture and if you're ready to completely turn your back on him after ONE incident that no one knows the full details about, then you were never really a fan to begin with.

I agree on one thing, it's NEVER good to go into the business by yourself and Punk could've been the bigger man there and sorted things out backstage rather than getting back to Page on national TV like Page did to him but we don't know how much tension is/was between them and if there was any talk backstage.

I disagree with Booker. Hangman went off script to shit on punk for Cabana almost being fired and then moved to ROH. That's real life heat and I doubt CM Punk exclusively asked for this but probably didn't want the man who threw him under the fkn bus in the middle of a lawsuit to benefit from the exposure of coming out with hangman and backing him up during the hangman punk feud. Then hangman says this in the middle of a face to face promo and goes off script making not only the promo not make sense but making CM Punks next lines have to be ad-libbed or making him look confused in the middle of the ring on live TV. So I completely agree with Punks receipt. He didn't make the show worse by saying it, the promo still made sense and was well delivered unlike hangman's, and one way or another made him look like a chump or not if they ever have a match again people will be very invested. You don't talk about real life personal issues that do not involve you unless it's authorized and discussed with the boss and the other wrestler. Sammy Guevara called Eddie a Fat piece of shit without clearing it with him first and got smacked in the face, imagine how touchy a subject of best friends falling out after a lawsuit must be and on top of that you're going off script and potentially trying to embarrass punk if he was any lesser on the mic. And I say this with the utmost disrespect to hangman I think he's been Uber shit for all of his AEW run, Punk didn't need a feud with hangman, punk is gonna sell out arenas regardless, it was fckin Adam Page the one that desperately needed this feud against punk to be recognized as a star and he fumbled every step of that way. Hangman should have been fired but he wasn't because he's best friends with 3 of the 4 bosses. He wasn't gonna make it big anywhere else, WWE probably would have slapped one IC title on him before repackaging him like 5 times and dropping him into the 24/7 title picture with R truth.

You can't become a behemoth like WWE if you cater to the smark crowd. You have to make concessions and pander to a lower common denominator. Khan has to choose a direction. Let's break this down.. (and this is coming from someone who is not a CM Punk fan).. What did CM Punk say wrong in his shoot? For them to say that he was only in it for himself and doesn't care about the locker room is total bs.. The dude came in and had multiple matches with lower card talent and made them look good. Gave them more in a match than they would have ever thought they would get. 2 - He was attacked first. Just because someone didn't fit into your little video game gymnastics routine matches (talking about the Bucks, Kenny and Page), doesn't mean he's against your locker room. 3- When Punk said Hangman Page went out and said he doesn't listen to anybody even though they have Jerry Lynn, William Regal, Mark Henry, Jim Ross etc in the locker room, WHAT DID HE SAY THAT WASN'T TRUE THERE? Prime example of this: AEW has the greatest announcer/storyteller in the HISTORY of pro wrestling and when Page, the Bucks, and Omega go out there and do their little gymnastic spotfests, Jim Ross can't even tell a story no matter how hard he tries because they don't care about even making their own moves count or their own finishers thus they can't expand their audience beyond their little 900,000-1 mil people. THIS IS EXACTLY why you should listen to the veterans that were on top of the pro wrestling world across multiple decades. And to completely disrespect your veterans that you could learn something from, nope you're going to go "well, I really don't listen to anybody"... 4- What Tony Kahn should do is actually make these veterans in charge of matches and take away the EVP titles from the Bucks and Omega and put those titles on people like Jerry Lynn, Jim Ross, William Regal. Talent should never be in charge of anything. AEW would be way better off this way. Imagine if Booker T tried to teach one of his students how to do something and the completely disregarded him - One, they' probably get their a** whooped and would be sent home. This is what pro wresting needs again - It needs to be a closed off business again and not let in these little indy midgets do what they want and disrespect anyone they want.

Now, you can't deny that when Punk came in, he was working with lower card talent and making them look good. He was kind of doing what Bret Hart did with the 1-2-3-Kid. With that said, the Bucks, Page and Kenny have absolutely no respect towards the business and it's evident in their matches that the don't listen to veterans one bit. They actually make their moves not matter at all, and I KNOW this is not something Jerry Lynn, Regal, Ross, Malenko would condone. Shawn Michaels threw one superkick in a match and made it count.. They throw 15 in a match and not make them count for squat. Jim Ross has been on record as saying that talent think they know better and don't listen to veterans at all. THE ONLY one that you could say truly listens to veterans is Darby Allin. They even asked Darby what he thought of JR's comments and as a true student of the game, he said he loves JR and completely agrees with him. Now, does Darby Allin do some crazy stuff? Indeed he does. But what;s the mains difference in Darby Allin's game and the Elite? Darby actually SELLS and makes his moves COUNT. Meanwhile, the Elite and Page think they're smarter and don't need to listen to the vets and it is absolutely evident in their matches. Instead of maximizing their minutes, they're hitting 3 piledrivers in a row and their opponents are kicking out at 1 and a half.. So basically they're taking a highly dangerous move such as a piledriver and completely telling the audience "this is not dangerous at all, and we're having fun out here".. None of these guys care about the business one bit, if they did, they wouldn't be making a mockery out of it every time they go in that ring and do their little catch gymnastics.

Punk also digs at Eddie Kingston for whatever reason during that promo, which makes no sense except to stoke his ego. I know many people are enamored with him, but stories about his attitude go back to his original ROH run, and now that he is working for someone that is a mark and not a strong leader, he is going to run amuck. The irony is that people mark out the song "Cult of Personality" and do not understand the irony of it when it relates to Punk.

You do recall the rivalry and promos that CM Punk and Eddie Kingston had earlier in the year? The dislike between the two goes back all the way to the early 2000's early in their Professional Wrestling Careers. The animosity they have toward one another is genuine and stretches across several Professional Wrestling Promotions..

@@JuliusC1973 So, like almost everything else that comes out of CM Punk's mouth and a lot of AEW's booking, they bring up things that have nothing to do with what they are currently trying to sell just to get a rise out of die-hard fans. What was with the name-dropping of Kofi Kingston and John Cena then? People can try to dress this up however they want, but it came across as petty and the guy doing his own thing just because he feels like he can.

I hope it's a work, but even if parts of it is legitimate. I think they have interest and possibly money to be made. Just be professional and safe in the ring. Some of what is being reported, to me sounds like he is acting the same way he was treated in WWE. I don't think he becomes HHH.

There is nothing there that can't be fixed, but TK has to make big decisions. 1) You pay MJF if you want to keep him. 2) you take the title away from CM Punk because you can't let anyone do business for himself. This must have consequences.

Punk has changed AEW. Punk & MJF angle gave park full control imo because they stalled their best asset. What actually needs to be discussed is why they want to go backwards. Do these presidents want what is best for the company? To summarize my point, once they buried wardlow & lost mjf. They gave the so called ego man the best tag team in wrestling. This will go crazy if both side keep telling how they feel.

The MJF angle is definitely a work, him being off television is to make it all look real. The Punk and Page angle is most likely a well rehearsed elaborate work because CM Punk was punched out and didn't defend himself?..NOPE! All of it is in an effort to pick up their ratings because since triple H his bestie and his wife have taken over WWE the ratings continues to go up significantly while AEW has become rather redundant.
