The boy is right, as biology states, every body inherits 2 chromosomes, 1 from each parent. Whether by natural conception or IVF. Either the result is XX = female baby or XY= male baby. Usually with the obvious genitalia at birth to confirm, male or female. There aren't 57 varieties of chromosomes! There may be 57 varieties of choices to ones sexual orientation though.

You also have "intersex" people, those with both a XX and XY chromosome pair. Two possibilities there, the sex chromosomes are XX and the Y is present in another chromosome pair or the sex chromosomes are XY and the X is present in another chromosome pair. One will have male external genitalia with female chromosomes and reproductive organs, the other will be the opposite with female external genitalia and male chromosomes/reproductive organs. So if you look purely at the sex chromosome pair/reproductive organs they'd be either male or female but if you look at the combination of the sex chromosome pair/reproductive organs and external genitalia you'd have two more genders, i.e. a male-female and a female-male.

Regarding the twelve year old being called an extremist for having common sense. You should ask yourself and your "representatives" what "crimes" are considered more of a priority to respond with tax paid law enforcement. Virtually all homeschooled children that I have met are above average compared to their public "schooled" competition. Homeschooling or private is time consuming and can be expensive but worth it. About ten years ago I walked out on an Eddie Izzard show. It was a sold out crowd and everyone was laughing like trained hyenas. It was the worst comedy show I have ever seen. He went on and on about how stupid Jesus was. He came across very bitter and angry. He wasn't even making jokes but the audience knew when they were supposed to laugh. Very strange and pathetic.

I get that last women. We had our Marriott hotel room in the French Quarter of New Orleans flood with sewage in the middle of the night. We were told that as the Quarter is 5 feet below sea level and the building 300 years old, it happens. They upgraded us to a suite, but 10 years later, I can still smell it.
