Please,do you mean you use the Fabriano sketching 120 gsm paper, the Fabriano Sketch 90gr or their 110gr paper? PS You should try the Hahnemuhle Dessin 150gsm. It's by far the BEST drawing paper I've ever used!! I'd really appreciate your answer,on which Fabriano paper you use,when you say "Fabriano Sketch paper". I want to try it,thanks.

This is not sketching paper it's a 200gsm drawing paper primed with clear gesso

Can this be done the same way with oil pastels?

Yeah, they will blend well on a rough surface with blending stumps.
