I find it difficult to throw away stuff in case I might use it in a costume sometime (I'm a circus performer so I never know what kind of clothes I'll be wearing in the future!)

I did a huge declutter a few months ago and it was funny to realize that I really do only wear the same 10 things all the time and that a full or an empty closet doesn’t make a difference, I haven’t felt the need to fill it since ! I did replace a few basics that were getting old but we really don’t need as many clothes as we think we do

I always wondered what youtubers do with all their clothing/makeup/product hauls. Now I know, they just become straight up hoarders and drown in it

When we moved from Australia to Canada my partner accidentally packed all my clothes at the back of our storage unit, so i had no choice but to start fresh with only a few things, it was actually really fun, it's funny how much you realise you don't need when you're really compelled to.

You know you throw around some late 90s, early 2000s vibes I feel really nostalgic when I watch your videos.

I loved this video. You’re so realistic and reasonable, and it was well organized too. Like sometimes too much of decluttering videos are sped up or unexplained, but yours was perfectly balanced. :)

I have maybe 30 items of clothing including pajamas and stuff. But my clothing is slowly growing because I've been trying to get more but I'm very picky about the things I buy because I usually keep pieces for years. I still have 2 t shirts from elementary school that I somehow still fit. I've had some pieces for like 10 years

Mac Taylor Thats awesome. I think that it’s easier to have less clothing. Even though I have done a few huge clothing purges I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the clothing that it have.

This is basically what my bedroom looks like, over-run with clothes. Hamper with clothes I forgot about at the bottom... It just seems so overwhelming to tackle all at once. I need to get on that.

I've probably mentioned this before when you've showed the rack, but you really really shouldn't hang knit. Its so bad for it and causes it to get all misshapen and wear weird. I know you love your sweaters, so I want them to be okay. :)

I love watching closet declutter videos, makes me want to declutter my own, except I only have 38 pieces of clothing (plus underwear, footwear & outerwear).....so I vicariously watch others😆

What if you did shelving on the wall right next to the closet and fold some of your shirts on there really nicely? Also, folding everything facing upwards and compact in your drawers makes way more room for more.

If you like, all those tshirts would be super easy to fold and stack in shoe boxes file style in drawers, it saves sooo much space and would open up your closet a ton. I do it and it changed everything, it's konmari style. I also eventually changed out my hangers for "higher hangers" which gave me more space underneath for a shoe rack or whatever, I personally got some shallow plastic drawers from target and organized bras and leggings etc into them

Honestly my clothes look the same on average. I need to start taking better care of my wardrobe. Also that hanging a lot of shirts tip was fantastic! I needed that!!

Oh well never mind, I found it. I thought it was gonna be a tip how to hang multiple shirts on less hangers or something but the actual tip still needs a hanger for every single shirt, so... 😕

let's not it was something like put the shirts in a pile and the you can put all the hangers in and for some reason it’s supposed to be quicker. I was really disappointed cause I was hoping it was actually gonna be a tip for being able to hang more shirts

I love how genuine and non glamorous this video is! We've all been in this situation and it ain't cute!

The process of serious decluttering/organization can be so discouraging.... everything starts off well but halfway throughout it all looks worse than before so it’s easy to wanna give up. But the final product is SO satisfying!!! And so good for mental health. Depression can be the reason our rooms get messy to begin with (basically my life story. I do the same thing of throwing my clean clothes on the floor) so taking advantage of those good moments you have is important because a deeply cleaned room is like a breath of fresh air :) I recently decluttered and deep cleaned my room, currently in the process of reorganizing and redecorating but it feels great. Thanks for that awesome shirt hanging tip btw 🤩

I was supposed to stay as an Au Pair abroad for a year but it only turned out to be two months. Thing was, I had packed for a year (basically all the clothes I owned) and... It was so incredibly expensive to get all of my luggage back home. Unbelievably. Expensive. Like, 50€ per kg. And with two bag that weigh 58kg all together that was out of the question lmao. I had no choice but to purge my closet. I left like half my clothes where I was staying. Mostly stuff that was getting old or things I didn't really like wearing anyways but still. Big Oof.

That hanger hack is life changing

Laundry tip: when hanging up shirts to dry (this can work on other items), out them straight on a coathanger so they can go into the wardrobe immediately after drying ^_^

I have way less clothes than you have and still feel like i have alot so i always give away thinks i no longer wear that take out space. I switched to second hand couple years now and it's tempting to buy things just because they're cute cheap and in good condition. Consignment stores are where they buy your second hand clothes and then re-sell them.

60 items was a good declutter. Well done! I always empty my dirty laundry hamper each week. Clothes get smelly, musty, even mouldy sometimes. I don't even have the hamper in my room. It's in the hall way.
