Alderney comes a close second caught a large conger on the breakwater fought with that for 10mins untill my line snapped and you've heard this one before it was the one that got away😢

I’m sure there are still some big congers to be caught there - congers seem more plentiful these days

How long do you keep your pots down there for? you must have an idea if somone is nicking them then throwing them back in if they are naughty

Hi Dan, usually pull them once a week. If I go away for longer I sometimes leave them unbaited. It’s unusual to bring them up with absolutely nothing in any of the 3. I’ve moved them now anyway, so if anyone local watches the videos and recognises the places, they won’t find them there !

Thanks Tom, You make my morning coffee very enjoyable. My usual questions ........ Is that a removable pot hauler? How do you choose / find locations to shoot the pots and what would a string of pots set up look like ... lengths, weights etc? Cheers btw I'm now looking to get a small boat with a Cat A licence and MCA cert if you hear anything. I'll keep you updated. Maybe even make a channel on how a complete novice fairs in this business.

Thanks Richard, ☕️ it is removable, helpful as I can place other equipment there when required, depending on what type of fishing and what target 🎯 species 🐟 Locations, lobster and brown crab like rocky weedy seabed so just identifying those areas and keeping pots away from the bigger commercial guys helps Pots must weigh around 15-20kg each and I put 30m line between them with 30m line up to the buoy/float. All leaded line so it does not sit on the surface and cause a hazard.
