Onyx tile in the bathroom, old wood door on the sewer closet. Makes sense.

My first thought was how bad your underwear needs to be to toss 'em in the toilet, then I got to the idea they may have been on the sink / counter and fallen in accidentally. Either way that basement bathroom probably doesn't get used often enough so they didn't notice the issue till the house started to smell.

Great work dude. 2 things to take away.....underwear...I mean...that's pretty wild. :O What has been the most interesting/weirdest thing you've plucked from the pipes doing one of these jobs? Also that's a pretty substantial amount of sewage in that basement. Looks like they were waiting a fair bit of time before calling you to solve the issue. That's a hell of a clean up. Definitely were right about the water pressure on this one but was surprised those caps came off so easy. They looked more hardened in place.

Yes I thought the same with the caps, she did have a professional cleaning company walking in when I was leaving. I've seen a lot in my days , eye glasses, more underwear lol,human body fat, broken tile, pillow case, e-cigarette, knife, 6 Inch long pvc pipe, round cut out wood from a door to install a knob, 80's style razor, pens, toothbrush, screws, bolts, gold ,you name it the list goes on and on! hard to beat a basement/crawlspace sump pump basin with floating dead bloated cat/opossum/racoon in it and telling your buddy "get that pillow out of the pit" :)))) ok, I'm not quite that crude, by my buddy did that to his cousin many years ago, but we whizzed ourselves laughing at him gagging, puking and running for bleach. lol

in one of my rental properties, i pulled out 11 pairs of underwear followed by a rather large adult toy, probably 40 plus prophylactics and wrappers, empty lube tubes, a partial denture, a cheap smartphone, a pair of socks, and some of those 1 shot liquor bottles in a 10ft section of line in the basement, i now know how she was getting the money for rent, and was never able to look at her again, she got the boot!!!!

the backed up sewage is likely cleaner than their hands and everything they routinely touch (light switches, door knobs, handles, phones, doors and more!) fecal matter was and still is the primary spreader of many disease, virus, plagues and more (polio was spread that way)

@@andrewmoore1536 considering the sewer vent comes out just above ground level from the sides of the houses, i will stick to the methods most every State in the USA has other then a U-Trap. We run thru the room venting, P-Traps at fixtures, and straight shot pipes to the city. I work with sewer daily, and this is dumb no matter how you look at it.

If it wasn’t for those useless traps, you would have nothing to do…
