Clint Eastwood - UNFORGIVEN (1992) | A Classic Western Oscar-winning Movie
Ойын-сауық
If not a leading role played by Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman could out-play any actors including John Wayne in western movies.
Clint Eastwood once invited John Wayne to co-star a western movie, and John Wayne didn't pick up the call.
Truly Magnificent Seven STARS in western movies:
1. John Wayne : soft outside and tough inside
2. Clint Eastwood : calm and wily
3. Kirk Douglas : emotional and fun
4. Gregory Peck : upright and respectable
5. Paul Newman : good looking and stay cool
6. Steve McQueen : spontaneous GUTS
7. Val Kilmer : cool and gallant

One the best westerns ever produced. I was especially touched when William Munny (Clint Eastwood), while initially failing to get on his saddle, pays hommage to his deceased wife.
Eastwood stepped over the boundary to absolute perfection with this film.

Pretty good clipping. I do wish you would have kept the entire part of the monolog finishing the part about killing a man, and the subsequent part where he says 'we all have it comin'. This isn't just my favorite western, but my favorite movie. Personally I consider it a perfect movie.

In his 1966 movies, he is the badass we all know. From the get go. But watching him morph back into his former killer of a self is something you really need to understand to appreciate. He probably would have killed Bill under a tree somehwhere. But when he saw Ned's body decorating the saloon... that's real anger. The kind that shoots and doesn't want to ask questions after.

Good film but too much gratuitous violence and miserable darkness to qualify as a great western. Clint would have known this, of course, but it omits the family friendly features that all great westerns have, as John Ford knew only too well.
