Clint Eastwood's second film as a director finds the celebrated action star returning to his familiar Old West stomping grounds and his internationally acclaimed role of "The Man With No Name." This time, The Stranger (Eastwood) mysteriously appears out of the heat waves of the desert and rides into the lawless, sin-ridden town of Lago. After making a name for himself with a string of blazing gun battles, The Stranger is hired by the townspeople to provide protection from three ruthless gunmen just out of jail. The Stranger quickly proceeds to paint the entire town bright red, rename it "Hell," and supply divine retribution in the fiery, pulse-pounding climax of this acclaimed western shoot-em-up.

Probably the coolest dude who ever lived.
The guy with the knife, you may or may not realize this, but he was also in The Oultaw Josey Wales as the leader of the Comancheros, and he was the leader of the biker gang "The Spiders" in Every Which Way But Loose, and Every Which Way You Can. Like John Wayne before him, Clint also seems to have a loyalty to the people he worked with.

After John Wayne, Eastwood was the best cardboard cutout ever to perform as an actor.
Even the ghost (clint) got stressed out at the towns people bad shooting
I loved Clint Eastwood movies, but then I reached puberty.
Brilliant. “What do you think you’ve been eating for 6 months”. Who wrote this script ? I’ll certainly have to watch it again.

Movie was a masterpiece.

He did it to make the dwarf feel better, but then the dwarf got immediately prideful and let it go to his head, so he had to tone him down a notch too.
