    I also thought the bass break was smooth and awesomely pleasant. Great pickin' all around. Jake is just a spectacle. And loves what is going on. Awesome guys.

    I realize how similar Clinch Mountain Backstep is to Whole World Round (Dillards). Both excellent songs. These bluesy tunes are the most fun to play I think (Cluck Old Hen is another) because the theory goes out the window and you can really cut loose

    It's a metal brace that keeps the body of the guitar off of the player's stomach to prevent muting the resonance of the wood. I can't remember exactly what the name is, but a lot of pickers use them.

    @@airborneassasin yeah, it's called a Tone-Gard and they're sold at certain acoustic music stores - they don't make a ton of difference when you're sitting, but standing they make my guitar about 30% louder!

    That banjo is so much louder than the other instruments. He’s probably backing off so he doesn’t drown out the guitar breaks.
