‘Climate change’ now means rather than dams dying up they will be ‘really wet’

Sky News host Caleb Bond slams the misconceptions of how climate change now means in the "future" dams will be overflowing rather than drying up
“We have gone from the dam is never being filled to actually, climate change means the place is going to be really wet,” he said.
Mr Bond discussed climate change with The Sunday Showdown panel.

Most people are surprised to learn that, just as the surface of the Earth is not flat, the surface of the ocean is not flat, and that the surface of the sea changes at different rates around the globe. For instance, the absolute water level height is higher along the West Coast of the United States than the East Coast. You may have heard the term “global sea level,” which refers to the average height of all of the Earth's ocean basins. "Global sea level rise" refers to the increase in the average global sea level trend. "Local sea level" refers to the height of the water measured along the coast relative to a specific point on land. Tide stations measure local sea level. "Relative sea level trends" reflect changes in local sea level over time. This relative change is the one most critical for many coastal applications, including coastal mapping, marine boundary delineation, coastal zone management, coastal engineering, sustainable habitat restoration design, and the general public enjoying their favorite beach. I hope this clears up your ignorance.

After that, you can then make a sensible, rational, reasonable, scientifically-based comment. Let me help you out, thus: For a given location, area, or region, climate relates to the 30 - year + averages of the prevailing weather conditions. Finally, if somebody out there can tell me what CO2/fossil fuels have got to do with the long-tem averages of weather, let me know, because no national weather office believes there's any nexis.

They do not have required staff, did not make maintenance and so on for 20 years. And water flow is not enough to supply these generators as regular power source. Even Snowy scheme can not work on its full power more than 20% of time, not enough water in mountains.

Warragamba dam opened in 1960. The population of Sydney has more than doubled since then. It's only going to take a relatively short dry spell for it to be emptied by that population. And when it happens it will, of course, be because of climate change.

They also bung on something about the Honeyeater. Apparently the Honeyeater is the only bird in the world that does not thrive around water. Lake Eyre, which is currently chockers, would be full of birdlife atm.

We have a climate crisis. The ice in the Arctic, Greenland and Antarctica is melting rapidly, and it is hard to melt ice. Sea temperatures are rising and there is more rain in some places, with drought in other places. (The Amazon, Panama)

Where I am in PNW it's getting hotter but I noticed the ground is getting wetter at night...so I'm guessing the ground is getting plenty of water at 80 degree day temps because I walk through at night and my shoes get soaked with water from just humidity in the grass....then I have to put my shoes on a heater....and wake up to 80F temperatures.
