Never read the Bible never been religious, in fact and I’m not too proud to say this I’ve disrespected Jesus Christ/Christianity many times before, due to my lack of knowledge of the gospel and arrogance. But these people and my brother single handily opened my mind/heart to Jesus Christ. My first bible arrives this Friday.

I was raised Roman Catholic, I’ve strayed away because it’s easier to live without religion (so I thought) and because why would God make my dad sick and have me worry about him to the point I wanted to end my life to end my suffering. I went through a phase where I was militantly atheist. I deeply regret that time in my life. But I like to think everything happens for a reason. I started seeing George and Cliffe videos about 4-5 days ago. They both brought me back to my faith. I started reading the Bible this morning. Let me tell you, I haven’t been this happy in a long time. I feel alive. I feel filled with the Holy Spirit. I’m working on my addictions. I believe I was given these vices so that I can accurately warn people of the repercussions. God bless you all. I’m praying for your return to Christ❤

@@jontyharris5249 sanctification process is real too though and deliverance can happen in stages as well. The moment the convictions stop coming is when you've convinced yourself out of righteousness and accounablity . God has graciously rigged me off of daily habits , behaviours and thought patterns but there is still some left im battling with on the daily, I feel guilty about it everyday but I understand now that this is a partnership agreement that I've come into with him. there are things he wants to teach me , walk me through , love me through, discipline out of , he wants me to lean on him and be brave and courageous and continue to choose him , I know he's using them for a testimony one day to help one of my brothers or sisters in christ thats going through it too, to help them skip some of the pain I recklessly created myself. I still feel guilty because I love him so much and I want my actions to reflect that in EVERY aspect of my life. @hiphopsjester942 nonsense. God can use men to further his kingdom. He shows us this time and time again. When He speaks of the great commision, He tells us disciples to go forth and spread the gospel to all nations. There is a reason for that. It is true that George cannot save her son or anyone elses. Only Jesus can. But He wants his message heard. And can use others to glorify His name and help lead others to salvation. It is possible George can help lead to salvation, not gift it.

I think the swearing at church bit is a great illustration of how we (subconsciously) find loopholes to justify behaviors we are convicted of but want to keep indulging in. Swearing at church isn‘t ok out of reverence for God but outside of church it‘s ok? We as believers are indwelled with God’s Holy Spirit which makes us the temple of God; so wether we are in a church building or not; God is right there which means that our reverence for Him should remain the same. We need to be careful to not create loop holes or let our behavior be determined in unwise ways by the place we‘re at or the people we‘re with. Who we are when nobody‘s looking (well, God’s always with us but you get what I mean 😄) shouldn‘t be too different from when everybody‘s looking.

I struggled with Marijuana too wondering whether it was sinful or not. Watching this and the Tate podcast where you asked the same question has brought me to my own conclusions. I finally decided to put it down. Why? My main reasoning was because the bible speaks about double mindedness, and I do feel like I am a different person when I smoke.. this may have been innocent to me, but it led me to think on how many of our sins begin as innocent things that eventually cause us long term damage. Another scripture I saw mentioned that I should be honoring God in all the things that I do, so I also began to wonder if I could justify in an honest way how I might be honoring him through that habit, and I failed to make an argument that didn't fill me with conviction. I felt like God exposed my own heart to me, and my heart was excusing my habits and distorting facts to fit my desires which led me to a place of repentance. Saying goodbye to it was difficult, but I know for sure now that I am opening my mind to God in order to hear him clearly 24/7 which makes me feel more confident in allowing the enemy any room inside of my temple.

He finally took it from me and if I’ve never looked back. One day we will live sinless in his presence forever, what an amazing thought

Love this man! He came to my college campus in 1986...yes, you heard that right! I was a new believer at the time and was so excited to see that my newfound faith was defendable! Cliffe, you might remember me... It was Chico State and I interviewed you for the college newspaper. I got through my whole interview and then realized I never turned on my tape recorder! You were so gracious and let me do the whole interview again. Im now 59 and still love Jesus and walking with Him. Thank you so much for your ministry in being so faithful all these years!!

Then i watched this video and was intrigued by the segment on swearing in this video and started to bawl. It was like a reminder that he hears my thoughts and knows my heart position on it. @GeorgeJanko I believe God is asking me to give you this message. About the Marijuana use, the fact that you are questioning yourself on this topic is actually the answer to your own question. If you keep questioning if you’re doing good or bad by smoking marijuana, let me tell you that this questioning is called conviction from God, he is putting this doubt in your head for a reason, is just not right, through conviction, God let us know when something is not right, if it doesn’t feel right, if you’re questioning your decision, it is not right but you might love it so much you’re trying to excuse it.

George - you’re funny as heck bro! Relating to the weed question I think of it in this way. When Jesus was tempted by Satan, Satan says if you are the son of God turn this stone into bread” Jesus responds “man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of the lord” Jesus understood something here. It wouldn’t have been wrong for him to eat a piece of bread/turn the stone into bread. But he also understood that turning something that wasn’t intended for his nourishment into something and using it for nourishment would have been a big mistake. Satan is really interested in consumption, so long as he can get you to consume stones rather than bread he can reduce good nourishment and therefore he can interfere with your true power. Consuming weed or anything else to relax, unwind, etc has a way of reducing our desperation for true bread / true nourishment When you feel amped up, anxious, overworked or anything else, the Bible, prayer, fellowship is intended to be your consumption. If you have a substitute in that moment, it’s probably a stone and not bread

@@thatguyidontremember5571 From my experience, that reliance always pulls away from the fullness. Can you still understand an aspect of the word...sure...but will you be made whole with the mystery of the scriptures...well, I'm not totally sure. the idea of being humble, being weak, being "low" - is really a beautiful thing. In that low point Gods strength can do a wonder. Particularly the strength that comes from scripture. Some things really need the involvement of the Holy Spirit which is made most powerful when we are low...not when we are high.

However you’ll know you’re truly saved when you detest sin and are actively seeking God and avoiding sin. And once in that place, you’re human you’ll still fall short and sin, but pray, repent, and continue sharing the good news. As there is a difference between sinning and living in sin. ❤ blessings to you I pray for your strength of faith

Yeah for sure brother, when you meet God at the gates and he ask you why you should enter the saying is “in my hands nothing I bring but to the cross I cling” because our lives our imperfect we can offer nothing to God to enter heaven, he takes no bribes and we have nothing to offer him, so he offered his son for us to live the perfect life and pay our fine for the crimes of sin that we have all committed. In conclusion, chase that RELATIONSHIP with God, know him through the Bible and act as a vessel of the Holy Spirit which lives in you. God bless ❤✝️

Hey man. I'm a nobody, but I have to say how proud of you for standing up for your faith when it comes to the podcast you used to be a part of. My faith was wavering at best, but my wife and I finally got married about a month ago and we wrote our own vows etc. A part of my vows I wrote were that "I would be a spiritual leader for my family together united in Christ" because my wife has always been truly faithful and showed it just as in 1 Peter (I truly believe God sent her to me to bring me back to him.) I thought I understood what being a Christian was until I made God a priority in my life, asking him to guide me and mold me in full submission to his will. Instead of saying I'll do this for me, it's "I'll do this if God wills it." I can't begin to describe just the emotions that I've felt throughout this whole month. I used to not care about the sin I was living, but now I truly mourn of the sins I've committed and going from someone who lacked emotions other than anger, envy, and each negative emotion. I find myself just overcome with joyful tears of "Why me, God?, why would you want to save someone like me?" and a need/ sense of urgency to live for things other than myself. Keep doing what your doing because there's plenty of people out there that need to hear the things you stand for. May God bless you.

It's truly amazing how enlightening conversations can awaken new perspectives within us. As a Christian, this discussion has provided clarity to many questions I've harbored silently, afraid to voice. I've come to realise that my intellect extends further than I had given myself credit for. Hearing the thoughts of theirs and recognising my own resonance with them is truly mind-blowing. It's a stark contrast to the environment I've been surrounded by, where such discussions were often stifled. Discovering the George Janko Podcast feels like a revelation; it's becoming the catalyst for my journey towards complete confidence in my faith. With God's guidance, I believe this path aligns with where I'm meant to be. Moreover, it's been a profound experience to acknowledge my respect for Islam amidst my own spiritual journey. I've been grappling with a sense of confusion regarding which religion is the true path ordained by God, but I will figure it out no doubt. Thank you George for being so authentic and real, you are now my favourite podcast to watch hands down!

Either Mohammad is a liar, or Jesus is a liar. Can’t have both. Read the gospels and ask God if Jesus is God. Cliffs channel also recently has an interview where he debated with some Muslims about where their holy book the Quran came from. Isa (Jesus) is in the Quran, but he’s merely a good prophet. He’s not God. Which source is more reliable, the Bible which has over 5,000 copies of the same scrolls, or a book written hundreds of years later that other copies of that contradicted it were destroyed. The Jews follow the Old Testament, which has over a hundred prophecies of Jesus the messiah that he fulfilled every one. The Jews don’t even know that. Because they don’t read the New Testament, they aren’t even taught that it was written by Jews. Keep pursuing and you will find the truth. The truth will set you free. You’re loved.

I recently found George but I have followed Cliffe for a long time. I now have a new respect for George seeing that he brought on a man like Cliffe! My respect went through the roof at what a candid conversation this was between the four. Also, the way Stuart watches his father as he speaks shows so much respect and awe. He adores and respects his father and it comes through his eyes! It is beautiful!

I used to blaze a few up and it calmed me down and it also drew me closer and more excited to read scripture. Then my wife asked me, "shouldn't you go to the lord to calm your anxiety and read his word instead or before u smoked?" Ever since I put it down and I go to him first. Stay blessed!

There is so much knowledge in this episode that i really needed. This answered a lot for me. George im going to be vulnerable. I wasnt supposed to be here. Due to pain and truama that was dealt to me in my life, i never went to god. For 13 years i turned my back on him. I knew OF god, but i didnt know god. January 25th this year in 2024, i committed suicide. Due to my own decisions and thinking i didnt need god, i found myself on a dark path which ultimately lead me to the end of a rope. My throat was injured, i couldnt breathe anymore, i was dying george. I fell unconscious and i heard a voice in the darkness softly say, "i am with you". The knot came undone. When i gasped for air i wept and repented and i turned my life over to god and i accpeted jesus into my heart. I now help lead a recovery group at my church, im the parking lead and serve my church. In the fall i start my journey in getting my bachelor's in theology so i can further defend gods word. Hearing you, your fiance, and cliff and stuart, its only deepened my love for god and our savior jesus christ. Thank you for this video. I love you all and i pray for continued blessings and a rich heart. One day, ill be in front of you and we will talk about our heavenly father and deepen our love for him further. My promise to you.

Everyone is piling on George and it’s fair enough - I think the message has been received at the very least 6months into posting - HOWEVER - what gets me, from watching a whole bunch of pods today, is that in every single video, he’ll ask a question and THEN ANSWER IT OR OFFER A MINUTES LONG TANGENT ON IT HIMSELF. Every. Single. Time. It feels as though he is after confirmation of his own understanding or opinion rather than actually learning from someone with far more experience and who is much better versed in the gospel. It’s a treat and a privilege to have some of the people he has on the show, and I know what George thinks already. It’s his show. I want to hear what THEY have to say.

I was not raised in a Christian home. My father had a very tumultuous relationship with God and was raised Catholic. I got into drinking and drugs from age 12, very low self-worth. I identified as agnostic then eventually got into new age and even worshiped false idols, but there were seeds planted along the way of Jesus. That is so important because when I was 21, in a motel six parking lot I fell to my knees and cried out to God and he came. I had a supernatural experience that most Christians never have. So I don’t think that people that don’t know Christ are at an unfair advantage or that they’re loved any less but it’s super important as you said to plant those seeds at a young age!

I smoked weed for 15+ years and finally stopped this year. And what brought me to realize it is that I craved it, and I believe the only thing we should crave is God. Also the old word for drugs was a translation of sorcery (Using substances that alter our spiritual state and barriers. Making us more vulnerable to demonic attacks.) Which was specifically forbidden. I don’t think we would feel so regularly convicted in our hearts if weed was good and meant to be consumed to get high. I don’t think giving in to the things our flesh calls us to crave brings us closer to God. Stay strong brothers, all we can do is keep trying!

George, I know several people have already addressed this with you, but I want to make sure it’s addressed to you honestly and respectfully. This was a fantastic episode with some real, raw conversations and I appreciated the honesty. I wish, however, that Cliff and his son would’ve been able to speak a bit more. There were some questions that were asked I feel we never got a clear answer for because they were interrupted or the segment got cut. One specific example is the question about cursing. At the end of it, there are jokes being made and we never get a clear answer. I haven’t researched this enough to know for sure, but I do believe by the way you are talking that you are feeling convicted about cursing and smoking weed. I, myself, LOVED cuss words. And I definitely had the mindset for a long time of using them to become more approachable, but then I thought about it. Are there other sins we would commit in order to relate to others? Would we go to a department store with a thief and steal something in order to be more approachable to him? Would we participate in the distribution of child cornography if it would help us reach pedophiles? No! We would never do that. The whole purpose of our salvation isn’t to get down and dirty with others. It’s to show others what God has done for us - what he has brought us out of. I think these exact conversations you had on this podcast could’ve been done without chasing and been just as meaningful, if not more meaningful. At the same time you’re trying to bring people to Jesus by cursing, you’re turning people away from Jesus by doing it too. God didn’t hang out with sinners because he approved of their actions. He hung out with sinners to show them love and encourage them, but He never stooped to sin. Just something to ponder on. Thank you for bringing us this message!

This is the representation Christians should be known for. Cliffe and Stuart are doing wonderful things with how they preach about God and how honest they are when answering tough questions. I also love that they acknowledge that they are sinners, tell how they sinned, and give examples of how to overcome that sin. If anyone watching this does not question whether or not their church is in an earthly way and not God's way, Cliffe and Stuart give a good representation of how churches should be and how they should love God. I am usually not a podcast watcher but I watched this whole podcast and could not stop watching it.

George, as a fellow Assyrian getting back into christianity and somewhat in the same return to Christ moment as you - thank you for having Cliffe on and talking about Christianity for 3 hours. More of this content to answer the similar questions you asked, and learn different things I wouldnt have thought about. Besma Ganookh.

The fact that I took it upon myself to look for this specific podcast kinda makes me happy bc as a 20 year old I can admit I haven’t always been eager to willingly learn about the word up until a year ago. And it’s thanks to people like George and Clife that make learning about Christ interesting.

ive turned to christianity not a long time ago, and it was all because of Cliffe. That mans way to talk can touch people's hearts and make them understand his pov. i really wish i will be able to even just say hello and greet that great man one day and tell him how greatful i am for showing me the right way.

I read this verse last night and it brought me to tears. Matthew 13:10 16; But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it. We are so fortunate to be able to read the word and hear the good news when there are so many who were greater than us who never had the opportunity. We should be truly thankful for the gift of Christ. It is through him that we may be saved from eternal damnation. Amen and thank you Lord 🙏 .

What he's talking about is not a fairy tale. How can you hear all the evidence pointing towards God's existence and still not do anything about it? I just wanna let you know that God loves you so much that he came as a man (Jesus Christ) and paid our fine by enduring the most gruesome beating and got nailed to a cross so that our sins could be forgiven once and for all. He resurrected 3 days later and defeated death. Now all we have to do to have eternal life is Trust in him, believe he was raised from the dead and repent by turning our back on our sin and turning to Jesus ❤ Again the 10 commandments are called the moral law that is written on our hearts. You and I broke the law, Jesus came and paid the fine. Just like you can get bailed out of jail by someone who didn't pay the crime is the same way Jesus paid our fine in full on that cross. It's not religion It's relationship.

Okay I believe in God I have no problems there but when you say he died for us why does him dying do anything for us I had nothing to do with his murder I don't understand how a couple of people go out of whack and that judges all of us so if three people going to Alley and grab somebody and put them up on the cross and kill them that's dying for all of us it's just I don't know that never made sense to me me

Oh and another thing about him dying for us well back then when he did this what there was only that crowd no cell phones no way for news to get about so how did he die for everyone in the world just because a couple of people wanted to kill him

I love Cliffe. I just sometime wish George was more aware of how he doesn’t let anyone finish talking. There were many times I wanted to know where they were getting and he cuts them off. Just giving constructive criticism.

Yes! I didn’t finish it because he kept interrupting. It’s his show I get but what’s the point of a guest if we hear more from the host? I’d rather he tell us about Cliffe than to have Cliffe there and not allow him to speak.
