In the summer of 2023, The Nature Conservancy asked the Reel Quest crew to shoot sill photos and video of their work to save some of North America's most imperiled trees. These trees are imperiled by invasive pests and diseases, impacting the health of forests, wildlife, climate and culture. Now, researchers are racing to breed trees that are resistant to those threats.
We visited researchers and sites in Vermont, New York, and the University of Connecticut. We edited that footage, and combined it with TNC staff footage shot in Maine and Ohio, to create this short video.
