Love, love, love Jackdaw's, thanks very much for posting. I've had the same family of Jackdaws living in my chimney for around 9 years, they are adorable and even follow me when I go for a walk, I get some strange stares when they swoop down to me around 12 of them lol squawking , even waiting for me whilst I pop into the corner shop, they hang around with a few pigeons the same two doves and two seagulls who have all taken to following me, they've even started following me when I take a drive in the car. I'd be very interested if anyone has experienced the similar stories. I've started filming and documenting their loveable habits. No complaints, even though they've started knocking on my bedroom window at the first glimpse of sunrise, they give me so much pleasure. Wonderful , entertaining and so funny, a gift from God, an evolutionary miracle! ;) xx please reply if you have stories about your Jackdaws or other birds...

Wow! I live in Scotland and we have 2 chimneys that have had the same family in them for a few years, we feed them regularly on a bird table, but they will never let us near them, I'd love to have them hop onto my arm to feed, but they always fly off if I come near, What's the secret Ali?

ali walker Had a magpie that landed on window sill one morning and kept tapping on window. Think there was something reflecting that attracted it. Crows are very intelligent birds. Fascinating to watch.

I’m feeding a family off the balcony much to the neighbors’ dismay I’m sure. Sometimes the friendliest ones will sit and spend time with me or make puppy eyes for food or special treats. We haven’t made physical contact yet but they let me get quite close. I hope one day one trusts me enough to want a little head scratcher. I believe the parents bring me presents sometimes because they fly deliberately from their nest to the balcony with it, but it’s never anything very good I’m afraid. Just bits of nest or dried poo which I’m not sure if I should appreciate or take offense to 😂 I loved your story so much thank you for sharing. ❤️

I remember vividly how my bf and me walked home drunk from a pub and then came across this friendly crow. It just sat there and stared at us so we came closer and it didn't fly away. At first we thought that it couldn't fly but later it flew up to a fence. We spend a couple of minutes with it talking fotos and having fun, it even untied my bf shoe for some reason :) I'm so happy that happened and that somebody was there with me to proof it was not a dream or imagination

Brain-wise, you haven't scratched the surface of his intelligence.

I have a baby Jackdaw i love your video , my jackdaw loves being with me also he is very friendly and his name is Bert :)

That's nice to see people animal with animals getting along.

Kept quite a few over the years....Really entertaining birds.

I'm from Dublin and a I befriended a jackdaw that hangs around my school. He would jump up onto my head or arm, and I wouldn't be allowed into the school haha. He has little white markings above his eyes. Haven't seen the fella in a while though.
