Thank you so much for your clip and watching these videos. My goal is to improve the audio in the workshop, but when I have so many 3d prints running it's hard to stop them to record so I have to use the noise reduction and it does not sound as nice as the VO parts.

I am sure you would have tried just as hard as I did.
The 800XL was my first ever computer so I have a soft spot for it. After seeing the first video I never thought that this one would ever work again. Amazing work on bringing it back to life.
It'll be a very long time until we see another vintage computer resto of this calibre on KZread. I'm gobsmacked. Great to see that your hard work paid off, Lee.

After watching the recent archy video with gadgetuk164 I got off very lightly and it was more of a dusting on the surface and not so much burnt. I used up all my luck for this year I think.
Nothing short of impressive! I'm so glad you could bring it back to the land of the living. I have a very soft spot for the 800XL as it was my first computer, at the age of 9. It's still by my side, alive and kicking!

Wow 😲 You certainly deserve a medal for that. An extremely rusted one 😉 That is an amazing job. I can't imagine even start working on a machine like that, let alone after you opened it up. My hat's off to you brave sir!
Outstanding work! You have set the bar! Another 8 bit lives.
I honestly thought it was going to be dead even after all that work but I am so glad it worked, keep the videos coming bud.
Triumphant job Lee. Just shows what one can do with hard work, sticking to it and a bit of good luck. Truly brilliant.

I loved my atari 800 xl as a kid. I had a seperate cassette deck and loads of tape games that took forever to load or cload as the case maybe. I have no idea what happened to it, probably given away when I got an amiga 1200. If I hadn't have seen it I wouldn't believe such a restoration was possible. Well done Sir.

Amazing job!
I kept thinking this was the "Acid-Hundred XL" Outstanding job, sir! I have completed a base design for the Atari 8-bit keyboard PCB the use modern Cherry MX style switches. It would appear that the original 800XL key caps would sit on top of those perfectly, but I don't currently have an 800XL to test that theory.
You could be proud of yourself!!!. Congrats Lee :-))
When I first see this machine, I think that this is ready to 6 feet under :D Nice job!!!
