Mr. Porcupine is going to be terribly upset that you are squatting on his home and destroying it! Though he says thank you for taking out the chamber pot. Can't wait to see what you do. This place makes me think of Sam and Jenny Campbell and I know this isn't like their cabin at all. But with the Porcupine and the setting, this is how my brain sees the setup under the trees. Of course, this doesn't have the lake either, and their cabin was in Northern Wisconsin (Three Lakes). This place is really exciting to see what you do with and it is such a perfect place. I bought a similar cabin a few years ago that people left and never returned. I found a receipt on the kitchen table for a propane fill from 7 years before I closed on it. It came with a old car, truck, pontoon boat, speed boat, 2 small aluminum fishing boats, 4 small outboard motors, a camper, a dock and a lot of personal belongings. The cabin needed a whole lot of work too. Having the time of my life fixing it up.

The Lane Coffee Table- My parents bought three pieces from that line of coffee tables: 2 end tables and a long piece with double stacked tables on a pivot, so that the bottom table would swing out into an 'L' shape. Yes, they were very pricey in the late 60s and now with the Mid Century Modern Trend, you could get some money for that table. Let Brooke work her magic with some wood cleaner and a bees wax finish, and it would look almost new. I really enjoy the way you two work. Not many people would MAKE the time and effort to roll up that barbed wire and then try to sell it. My family would do the same thing. Although, I think I would have left some cabinetry outside for Porky, the Porcupine to chill out. OR you could build a designated house for him; don't they eat the pesky bugs that destroy gardens?

I thought you would break down the cabinets and max your bin.
I love that you all set a good example by wearing breathing protection. We have a neighbor at our future homestead that did construction for a living and black mold really did a number on his lungs.
I cannot wait to see what you and Brook do with this cabin.
Can't wait to see what you do to this cabin. I know it is going to look great
Great effort made by all in dismantling the interior of your latest venture. Funny how our teens are motivated to help , with the idea of it being paid work !!! Good to see how it looks when gutted. Looking forward to the next day of action. Always a pleasure Dave , be blessed. 🇦🇺🤗💞🙏✌️👍👏🇺🇲

GREAT progress! WOW.....look forward to what comes next.....!
One of the realities of being remote/rural -- dealing with all the junk the last guys left. You might find some rat poop caches in the ceilings/attic as well. I love this format of video and I'm looking forward to seeing more of the demo.
Dave glad you got your son help you , makes them to appreciate what you and Brooke do.
Excited to see how you transform this plot and the property.
Hello,, what a project you both have.. you all did a great job.. can't wait to see what happens next.
The yellow table and chairs are gorgeous antiques.
Cool project! Lots of potential in that place. Looking forward to the transformation! 😀👍
Excited to see future progress from you and Brooke on this cabin, totally agree the yard is a winner....best wishes
I'm so glad someone mentioned the coffee table! I had my eye on it since the first video of walkthrough of the cabin. I didn't know its actual make, but I love vintage furniture, and I could tell it would be a stunner.
Really enjoyed this episode I was amazed to see how clean the cabin was. Can’t wait to see you next video. Keep up the good work.
Many hands make light work. Looking good

Amazing how that cabin looked after a few hours of your family’s labour.
Thanks Dave for taking us along with you I enjoyed it God bless you be safe take care see you in your next video
Great job Dave & Brooke,... I will be very happy to see more. Hopefully trees will come off the roof without damage to the roof.👍👍
Nick earned him that Benjamín; yes sir! Place did clean up pretty good; who would have knew that coffee table was the gem of the cabin! Look forward in seeing yours and Brookes spin on the old cabin. Thanks for sharing. On to watch "Girl in the Woods" version. LOL
Wowzer! Y'all knocked that clean out like it was nothing. But we all know you would be sore the next day. Good job people!!
Hi Dave. Enjoying this series and looking forward to what you and Brooke are going to do. Any chance of an interview with the Porcupine? I’d like to hear more about his grandfather 😂
Now we wait for part 3 the rehab … I wish I had fast forward, lol. This cabin is so awesome underneath all the garbage!
Looking good. There's always something satisfying about filling a dumpster with a bunch of junk from a place you're fixing.
Dave, thanks of sharing your off-grid life. I am 61 years old and always wanted to do it. Put almost 25 years in the Army, got nine grandchildren, but still got the feeling since I was in my 20s. I am willing to sell my house and build one far away from what's going on, I got solar and thinking about having four wind turbines, use one for fanning the other three...
Hi Dave 👋 you & Brooke & Mick did awesome job cleaning out the house 👍 sure is a beautiful area 🌲🪵🌳 take care 🙏🇺🇲
I love watching your video's Dave! Looking forward to the next one of cleaning out this cabin.
That was a quick video but it's always a treat when you post Dave. Looking forward to seeing what you guys do with the property!

This was again great , a second version , first by the Miss's and second by you . There's two perspectives on this project , and you both are one .. Rock and Roll on the good work !
I love those upper cabinet doors in the kitchen! Those were amazing. So bummed to see them trashed.
This was a great watch, its amazing what gets done when its family all pulling in the same direction. Looking forward to the next installment. Many thanks David in the UK.
I am very happy that you all got this done in 4-hrs...Thanks for sharing!! Windsor, Ontario Canada
Good to see you own a burk bar. I’m always amazed to see guys doing major demo without one. Glad you were able to gobble up the property next to you.

That asphalt siding😂😂😂my maternal grandparents home was covered with it. Not the most beautiful thing, but it sure worked well! Glad to see the place being emptied out, and that for the most part it’s solid. Can’t wait to see what the Whipple’s have in store for it…
Hey, Middle Aged Guy, excellent videography! You are so good at telling a story. I love the inclusion of the porcupine- I didn't know they could climb trees!
Really enjoying the process of this renovation so far. Looking forward to seeing more. 👍

Keep up the good videos Dave. Can't wait to see the transformation.
Poor Buster (porcupine). He's homeless now. That hole in the floor under the couch was his private entrance. 🤣
So happy to see you back at the cabin Brook and you purchased this is exciting !, Nice your son came to help get things moving as well it actually looks so awesome without all the stuff out, Epic score on the tables Brook will clean and fix those up you and your family are blessed to have found this Gem , Look forward to the reno . Your video was so short. But to we did see a few thing we didn't see on Brooks channel. Looking forward to the next chapter.
Great work...I think you and Brooke should give the house to your son for his 18th birthday! He will of course help with the redo!
Awesome job and seeing all the clearing out. Nice to see your son helping you both out. Everywhere poop and more poop!! 💩🤣🤣 Great video David. Looking forward to the transformation of this new wonderful cabin of a gem. 👍🌲🇨🇦 ( Vancouver Island, Cobble Hill, BC)
