Excellent point, Leif. Very well put. And I would add that not only is the car's condition like a metaphor for how GM treated Pontiac, but also how GM treated their customers. If a customer needed something from GM that wasn't in GM's best interest (e.g. covering rental car costs when one of their warehouses was on strike), the customer got the corporate yawn 'n' shrug from GM. "Your problem, not ours." This from a company worth billions.

Freaking amazing! Hats off to the God of car cleaning! On a side note I finally pulled the trigger on the McC steamer. I couldn’t be more pleased. Bought a 2002 Toyota Corolla, gravel road driven, hadn’t been cleaned for 14 years, 142k original miles, for $400 US. Car was thrashed inside and out. After two days of DG love techniques car looked showroom new. Sent pics to the previous owner, and he didn’t recognize the car. Steamer was a game changer! Wish I could share the pics! Although my car is not in a disgustingly bad condition, your videos make me want to deep clean my car and at least take the seats out to see what stuff I find beneath them. I only wish I had some time and the necessary skills to that :/. Thanks for your amazing videos!
24:34 is such a fun camera angle! I struggle washing the windshield and you made it look so much more simple 😂 also was entertaining to see you wipe down both mirrors haha. Another amazing video Mitch 🔥
What a transformation! Do you ever get any cars that are just like, regular dirty? If you had to do this for every customer seems like you'd get sort of worn out after a while.

Food all over the seats, broken CD player, scratches all over the door like she couldn't get the key in it on multiple occasions, cracked bumper, etc.. These cars may not have been great but I don't think they deserved this kind of treatment lol

The way you take a disgusting, stinking, pigsty turd of a car, & turn it into clean, shiny...turd of a car is really very impressive: that Pontiac was one step away from a one way interview with the crusher, for me..! Really love the amount of care & attention you put into your work, well done.

It seems like people usually get rid of all the mice and bugs before they take it in cos they can't have mice escaping into his garage starting a nest. The one or two bugs he did find i imagine he just picked them off the car with some tissue and threw it in the bin, and that's the best way to deal with any hanging about always use tissue cos you dunno what they've been rolling in.
I work at a movie theater, so I’m coming home at usually around one or two in the morning most nights. Naturally, if I go to sleep immediately, I end up waking up in cold sweats having nightmares about popcorn and drink machines. These videos are a tremendous help in winding my mind down before I try to sleep. The cut the popcorn nightmares down by probably 80%. Thank you so much for these videos, and I’m just now realizing I probably need to start reading books again.
Holy smokes this was an awesome transformation!! I am so happy and glad you did the headlights too!! Epic!!!
I wonder if there's any car you just look at and refuse to do! I'd have to be hazmat suited to go anywhere near this car. 🤢 Great job! 👍
Great job on the detail. The guys at the scrap yard will appreciate the cleanliness as they put the car into the shredder.
Once again, a job very well done. Congratulations Mitch.!!!!!

Then he would be more into auto mechanics/restoration vs auto detailing if he did that. Then he would get hooked into, "hey, while you're under there change the oil, and check the brakes, and etc. etc. would ya?" That would be my wild guess. Then he would have to get licensed and even more things and insured to the hilt. But, maybe it's something later if he wanted to hire a whole crew and staff. He said he didn't want to do that once on his DG2 channel.....
