I had to detail a car like this when I was a high school kid working in a detail shop for the summer. Not only was the owner a chain smoker, but the trunk, both back seats and the front passenger seat were piled high with old books. There were probably more than a thousand of them in that car. It was the grossest job I did that summer, since the majority of our business came from the nearby luxury car dealerships selling Porsche, Aston Martin, Mercedes, Audi, Range Rover, etc. Out of all those luxury cars, I liked the Audis the best. They were easy to drive, sporty and I wasn't nervous like I was when returning a freakin' Porsche or Aston Martin knowing I'm driving a car worth $100k and an accident would be seriously bad.
1. never pressure wash first. ESPECIALLY IF ITS THIS DIRTY. use a higly concentrated apc and snow foam. 2. snow foam is not a contact wash! rinse your foam and get three buckets. one rinse bucket with a grit guard, one with your shampoo and one for wheels. 3. i cant believe i have to say this, but please for the love of god dont rub the dirt into your carpet. instead, use a dry drill brush/tornador and vaccumn before spraying carpet solution. you can use a drill brush but i highly recommend moving to steam cleaning . Unless you have a rubber mat, do not pressure wash it 4. lastly, if your ceramic coating doesnt have a prep phase or necessary paint correction, its not a ceramic spray. so lets chill. everything else was alright i guess?

Nice car! It is much better when you turn the music off and just leave the original sound of vacuum, washer, etc, as an ASMR. Try it!

My car would be the fastest and most boring cleanup. Anytime my friends get in my car they remark on how it still looks brand new after almost 7 years since I drove it off the lot. I went on a 3080 miles road trip summer 2023 and told my friends I was happy to stop anywhere at anytime, but there’ll be no eating in my car, I didn’t care how often and for how long we had to stop. 😊

I have the same xterra same year, same colour, but mine has a factory lift kit. That car has a special place in my heart. Seeing another one getting cleaned is so satisfying as mine is parked in a different country

It's just going to take the corrosion off, not stop the corrosion process or add the corroded metal that you just removed back on

It’s corrosion from the elements left on the rim. He washed all the dirt off but what’s left is literally peeling chrome.

I find it helpful when using a shop vac to use filter bags that cut down on the pollution back in the air from cleaning like you do. They also save on your machines life.

I would be too embarrassed to show my face on camera if my vehicle looked half as bad as this one. That’s beyond disgusting! Also, wouldn’t it be easier to pull the carpet and pressure wash it? Especially being that nasty?

Cars like this makes good content, but I guess like a week after detailing the cars looks like before again; once a messy, always a messy. Its in the mindset already.
Reminds me of my first car. My mom bought it without really looking at it and it was covered in cigarette butts and trash. I’m sure it smelled like cigarettes the whole time I had it since I wasn’t able to afford a real detail like this.

Mitch, what do you do to clean the tracks that the seats slide back and forth on? I find that they collect lots of dirt, grime, etc. Is that a steamer job? Or more so a drill brush job..
