• MALDIVES: Expert clean...
The fish market in capital of Male in the Maldives, Indian Ocean. The Maldives is a small country in South Asia, located in the Arabian Sea of the Indian Ocean. It lies southwest of Sri Lanka and India, about 1,000 kilometres (620 mi) from the Asian continent. The chain of 26 atolls stretches from Ihavandhippolhu Atoll in the north to Addu Atoll in the south. Comprising a territory spanning roughly 298 square kilometres (115 sq mi), the Maldives is one of the world's most geographically dispersed sovereign states as well as the smallest Asian country by land area and population, with around 515,696 inhabitants. Malé is the capital and the most populated city, traditionally called the "King's Island" for its central location.

i been to japan and have seen a lot of tuna being filleted at tsukiji market...by far, this is the most skillful cutter i have seen..no fanfare and big ass samurai sword...pure skill and one bad ass knife...2 thumbs up!
@cschandragiri

The ones in Japan are more skillful. The cut in perfect slices.
@Galadhriyan

They're are paid per tuna hence the fast cuts, you should see them work with patience, given time and if requestes, I'm sure they would show you how they can compete with those japanese tuna butchers.
By far this is the BEST OF BEST fish processing I have seen on YoTube. No disrespect to the Japanese for they are true masters of filleting tuna and other forms of fresh caught fish, HOWEVER...THIS GANGSTER BROTHER, with his unassuming small knife which I should say is as razor sharp as Masaharu Morimoto;s Miyabi Fusion Katana. I always am in amazement in watching this video. I never get tired of this awesome man's knife skills!

this was actually very cleanly done with far less waste than yall make it out to be. nicely done sir, enjoyed your skill
I always love it whenever my dad take me to the fish market you been to. It really shows that you don't need any fancy knife or any gizmos to cut fish. Just experience and skill.

For all those who gave a thought of wasting water, well take your thoughts back.. Bcoz water aint wasting over here as this water from tap is sea water and the line flows back to the sea again... so probably no wastage..

Wow, thanks for posting. My Wife is the fisher in our house and goes out on "Day Boats" from Pt. Loma,about a year or so ago she caught a pretty good size YellowTail Tuna. I can't say exactly how big it was cause it was all filleted out upon arrival here.and would get bigger with each telling anyway. Really nice tasting and a good variety from the Barracudas and Striped Bass that we usually have. Actually I think the Captain took a picture of Her with her prize. So do you know if that fish in this clip is a YellowTail? If so I guess 50 kg is bigger than average? Thanks again for all you share with us, You really have a incredible adventure that you are living and seem like someone who appreciates this world and the many wonders.

What is it with many westerners who comment about waste when their own society wastes tonnes of food from restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets. I know, I live in the west! Sorry, I do not waste. And another thing, meat, fish seafood all have to be slaughtered and cleaned- very gory and unpleasant- does not just come automatically in polystyrene containers. Vic, thanks for the reality.
