Clean and Re-grip your Evolve Skateboard

Спорт

This week we show you the best way to clean your Evolve skateboard and how to re-grip your skateboard deck. We cover a number of methods from nylon brushes to grip gum and finally pressure cleaning. We will also show you how to prepare your board for cleaning.
All our current electric skateboards (ONE, Bamboo GT, GTX and Carbon GT) can be cleaned using a combination of these cleaning methods. Have a look at the video to see which applies.
When cleaning your electric skateboard remember to take all proper safety precautions

    Bambooooooooo is my ABSOLUTE favorite Evolve board! Especially with the terrain wheels on....Ahhhhhh!!!! 😁. As for the why?? Because its beautiful😍, flexible🤸‍♂️, and I would imagine comfortable🧘‍♂️ on the leg. Hopefully this is a good reason to win that carbon Evolve. Despite me liking Bamboo more, I wouldn’t mind a free carbon evolve. It’s an Evolve! ELECTRIC! Longboard! Who doesn’t want the best electric longboard in the market!?

    What product do you recommend to remove the grip tape residue off the carbon GTR? A paint thinner, isopropyl alcohol or goo gone?

  • @jackdaniels7913

    GooGone "citrus solvent" works grate on sticky residue and it won't damage or eat clear coats allowing for a soak time without damage... 🥃Cheers🍻

    Is it normal for my drive belt to tear apart after about 6 months of riding every time?

  • @tylerreeves8026

    @tylerreeves8026

    Charlie Serow 6 months? Thats a pretty good run if you mean your belt just wore out. If you mean you buy a new belt and it still tears itself apart very quickly after just 6 months, check your alignment from motor cog to wheel cog. for me, my motor cog was so worn out that it created a miss allignment that caused the new belts to walk off the cog and get eated by the motor.

    Hi Charlie, belts are perishable parts and are subject to break down depending on how much they are used. It could also be due to incorrect positing of the motors or gears. If you have questions, please reach out to your distributor. Thanks!

    The grip gum you guys are using is very weird looking.. We have a hard rubber grip gum to scrape off any dirt.. The wire brush method that would definitely scratch the carbon.. And using a pressure washer to clean a deck a bamboo, if you have cracks in your deck wouldn’t the water seep down in once it dries it will shrink or possibly caused damage to the board permanently?? Water and wood really don’t go good together..

    Never pressure wash or get any water on your board. Doing so will waterlog your board, weakening the wood. It will also destroy the grip.
