Clay Bow Hunts for Whitetail and Black Bear in Manitoba
Спорт
Clay travels north of the border into Manitoba, Canada to hunt black bears and big whitetail deer. Critters are on the move which leads to a lot of action, but Clay is humbled by hunting different deer so far from home. In the end, venison is on the table, and Clay sets his sights on finding a big Manitoba bear.

Born n' breed Manitoban - enjoyed this hunt you shared with us, Clay (not to mention they hard work of the man behind the camera). Glad to see you growing to love the animals, land n' people we have here; as much as many of us locals do 🦌🐻
From a Western Manitoba family man... Thank you, Mr. Clay. Thank you for putting the spotlight on a great rural community and the greatest resources this province has to offer.

The stuff everyone at meateater is doing is huge for showing how rural people and hunters really are - up until them, most people only knew what some politician said about us
Love seeing the hunts up in Canada!

Facts Canada is an absolute beauty
Next to Steve himself, Clay is my favourite Meat Eater hunts to watch. Great episode!

I was just thinking that they have some similarities. Both very knowledgeable and well-spoken, but for all the hunting they do, they still get flustered (Steve with any hunt that doesn't use a rifle and Clay shooting the wrong deer in this episode and pushing Janis to take a bad shot on his bear).
Clay is hands down my favorite Meateater personality. His small town country feel and desire to feel and know the land he hunts is inspiring.

As a northwest Arkansan myself, I can say I’m super proud to have him representing our state and region in such a prominent, knowledgeable, and humble way.

Same here he quickly turned into my favorite. Just reminds me of the good ole boys from the previous generations.
Love Clay’s videos. Love his humility and honesty. Strong work Meateater…keep Clay active!!
Awesome video! Clays hunts are becoming a favorite for sure, keep em coming!
Repin Manitoba! Hell yeah Clay, it's an Honor to have you in our province!
Can’t wait for my spring black bear trip up here in Ontario
Welcome back to Manitoba. Happy to have our friends from the south back. Congrats.
Convince the rest of the crew to stop by Manitoba, it is a dream for sure.
Dude had loooong arms ha .. good hunts man enjoyed watching
Damn that dude who helps him bear hunt has the biggest forearms I've ever seen
Clay is the man. So respectful and grateful
clay is my favorite meat eater personality! love the commitment to the bow!
I was there the week before you. I actually helped Todd put out the bait that you hunted on the Ainsworth farm. Tom took a bunch of my bear fat to render and hopefully make pastries with. Those are some good folks in that video.

I would love to have a chat with Tom and his wife regarding an eventual stay with my aging father. I would really appreciate if anyone could respond with the name of the outfitter itself, so I could contact them. Cheers, M.
Thx Clay for showing me what kind of amazing game you can find in my own province. There's a lot of kind hearted folks in rural Manitoba 😊
I love clays personality. He fits in well with the other meat eater guys. I bet that’s why Steve took a liking to him as well. 👌
Huge fan !! Glad to see you in Canada!! Love to see more Meat Eater content up here !!
Feels like old times watching Bear Horizons. Like they say those were the good ole days.
Love to see how much Clay enjoys hunting in the 204. Hope to see more of the Meat Eater crew visit in the near future.
Clay can sure tell a story that honors the land and the people who are blessed by it. I have an hour drive to my two hunt spots and that time is a joy listening to the bear grease podcast. I call Ontario home and it's fantastic to see you out in Canada and as excited as ever. Thanks Clay. I gotta get me one of those trucker caps. I shot the wrong deer last year on the chaos of last light and a dozen deer trading places over food. The lessons in hunting are never ending. It's always a humbling experience.
I like how no matter what there is new Meateater every week
Very well done video Clay. So nice to see a non resident hunter with with obvious respect and appreciation for the privilege of hunting in Canada.
Clay’s facial hair sitch is always changing but it’s always majestic af
BEAUTIFUL DEER AND BLACK BEAR
Thank you Clay. God Bless you brother.
Hai bro 🙂congratulation for 1M subscribers 💪💜
Proud to know I’m using the right release! Only one I’ve ever owned!
Every video of yours that I see gets me more excited for my trip in Nov. 2024 to Manitoba! Your humble, honest and no BS approach to whitetail hunting is refreshing in this world of commercialized hunts. Keep up the great work!
Always love to see meat eater in my home province
Something about clay as an individual. His intensity and excitement for every hunt, every time. Its great to watch
Steve and Clay are really great
I’m a Manitoba boy, makes me proud to watch this video. Love it!
These Clay Newcomb videos are the best stuff MeatEater is putting out right now. Love it!
Y'all keep getting better and better. Thanks for doing Canada proud.
Need more of these Clay archery hunts, could watch them all day brethren
First year hunting with a bow, didn't want to spend a bunch of money to see if I would even enjoy it. Got it fit and adjusted for me at a local archery shop. Shot about 300 arrows before taking this out and getting my first kill at about 35 yards. Couldn't be happier with it. I did put some baseball bat grip tape around the handle for a better grip.
love seeing a guy like Clay hunt in my home province!
I love Meateater and everything associated with the show!!!!🙂 Awesome episode Clay you'll get the bear next time and I hope you film it!!! 👍👍👍
Awesome! If you want more Canada, you have to come to Ontario and shotgun hunt some monster swamp bucks!! 👍 👍

Clay Newcomb a modern day hunter poet.
I’m from Manitoba, love the video.
I love watching hunts in my home province. The grass isn't always greener across the fence. Inspired
To all, that was an amazing hunting story to watch, congratulations all around! But Bear, Man…that was so cool watching the results of the hard work, support from your friends, loved ones and your creator! I can’t wait to see what your future holds brother!
Keep these coming. Clay is the man. LONG LIVE THE BEAST
You should do a show with Matt Heckler. I feel you all are kindred spirits. I know you haven’t ventured into the music realm in your podcast but if you do he should be your first guest.
Just got off a long week of work and to see this as soon as I open KZread what a treat especially being a manitoba boy
This was great to watch specially cause from Manitoba, well clays a badass!
I shot my black bear in Onanole, Manitoba with Black Ghost Adventures. They’re a great outfitting group.
Right in my backyard love it!
Great show Clay I really enjoy your hunts ! From one southern gentlemen to another lets respect the house remove your hat as respect in their home
Omg this blows my mind I have listened to over 100 episodes of The Meateater Podcast and I always wondered how long it would take for them to come to my home
Loving these hunts from Clay, Ryan and Janis!
Clay and Cal’s hunts are my favorite
we need more Clay !
Clay! You're in my backyard man. I live maybe an hour from the Ainsworth farm. Can confirm, Manitoba has some BIG bucks. Lots of mass and good sized bodies. Thanks for the shoutout to my home province!
This show is so amazing. Even if I will never be able to hunt, I love to watch this.
This older guy reminds me of my dad. Loving the Clay content!
Man that was beautiful watching them three bucks walk up that field edge straight to you Clay. Keep this guy going, great content from him.
Love it! Need more content from Clay, Cal and Yanis
Really enjoy watching your hunts, Clay. Glad the Meat eater guys brought you on board!
Really enjoyed your videos. You and Steve have the best
Love watching Clay! Wouldn't mind seeing more of him!
Love your videos Clay. Keep making I will keep watching.
Excellent footage on this hunt. Good work guys!
I could watch and listen to Clay hunting all day, hopefully we get some more bear hunting content from him.
One of my favorite videos from Meateater
Love the addition of Mr. Newcomb. Seems like one heck of a guy. I can’t get over how many people batter and fry backstrap. I’m sure it’s delicious but it’s the best cut of meat on the animal. All I’ve ever done and can’t seem to vary it is heavy dose of S&P sometimes garlic and onion powder and go hot and fast on a grill, pellet grill, pan then oven…cook to internal 125 and slice. That’s just me I guess I’m SE Minnesota. Enjoy the brand, love the videos and wish everyone of y’all reading this successful and safe huntin and Fishin.
Love seeing more of mr. Clay :). My biggest bear to date was from Manitoba. And don’t even get me started on how great the ducks are, too!
Great video. I appreciate your year long “out of season videos”. I usually binge watch all the new videos of my favourite channels during hunting season, and am then without any new hunting videos for the rest of the year. So I appreciate y’all uploading slowly through out the year!
Fantastic episode. Content with Clay is on another level
To the MeatEater crew - well done! Clay - that sunrise shot on the buck you thought he was, but wasn't is pure gold. Thanks for sharing with an old bow hunter like me who has made that adrenaline-filled decision more than once. Many thanks, stay safe out there and good luck with the Spring Toms!
I'm moving to manitoba tomorrow morning, any idea where this ranch was located? I can't wait to get out in the Bush!
love the background music.... Good work Clay !
Great video. Love this kind of storytelling
Clay you are a great narrator! Your video are always so good 👍 literally the best type of hunting video!
Great video. More just like this please
Love the blue jays in the fall.
Finally found your videos again Clay !!👍🏻
Love when they come up here to Canada 🇨🇦 I live here and gotta say we got some of the most beautiful and best places to hunt in the whole world and love to see Americans come and injoy it
I wish I had Clay’s voice for voiceover work. It’s slick as Bear grease
Great episode

@@ericdyck8364 Ya, I live in a small town in the South East. There have been Elk sightings in Sandilands but they are protected in this area. There's a herd around Vita but those are protected too. I, myself am Metìs and can hunt them in the South East but I recognize them as protected and leave them alone. I go NW of Holland MB. I even started seeing Mule Deer last fall near me in the Sandilands.
Great Video Clay. Thats why I love my 6.5 and 308 for bear. Drops them and no worry about being super close.
Pulled a classic “shallow Hal” on that buck.
Bro u hunted a beautiful buck with Hella hard work u shouldn't ever be disappointed in that! Manitoba deer 2.5 year Olds will dress out at 270 live weight in the rut so a buck like that with a bow is a beauty! Congrats brotha!
As always, great video ! It that’s simple.
Great hunt!! Great video!!
Love the truth in the video excellent showing lesson learned
Good work Clay! 🇨🇦
Thanks for sharing Clay. It looks like a fun hunt. I’ve never hunted Canada, might have to look into that someday.

I hunt big ass Elk and Wild Boar just south of Grandview MB where this was filmed. Lots of giants in this area.
Clay is really gaining on me.. hope to meet him one day
1. Congrats on a nice deer! Thank you for celebrating the back straps even though the antlers weren’t what you were after! 2. Glad I’m not the only one to use a chest rig in place of a straight bino harness, so many options with that rig 3. (Based on the video) You broke all of Kenyon’s scent control rules and still found success 😂
