It’s easy when you have a team pouring over the figures you know through history most of the candidates are applying for any reality show that will take them. All the contestants are in their 20’s so their skills are designed clothes make up and a product typically anti-ageing skin cream, packaged food parcels to clean your guts or telecom based marketing / recruitment.

Victoria is the kind of person who works in a call centre and wgen she is asked something that isn't in her script 'accidentally' cuts you off.

I don’t see why Karren got so much flack. I don’t think she said a single thing that was unfair in any interview! (Apart from the baroness Brady bit to Megan which was a bit below the belt)

Claude is CLASS !

Clearly, it’s supposed to be £7,500 per month. That is £90,000 per year. Come on Claude, wake up !

That's a good observation, but Claude seems to be reading out her words: "£7,500 per week" and in response the (edited) video appears to show her nodding an agreement to this.

Like many shows of this genre, the first couple of seasons were the best and more credible. Now they’re just completely staged nonsense.

Again, her numbers don’t add up

Is this scene completely faked? I'm not so sure. She is showing clear signs of extreme stess: (1) dry mouth evidenced by the licking of the inside of her upper lip, and (2) swallowing. The smiling looks like the typical Apprentice contestant reaction to being busted, which is to smile and nod, hoping that a winning personality will compensate for a lack of accounting and business knowledge. As a qualified accountant and now a maths tutor, I am well aware that creating a business plan like this requires skills and focus that many people do not have. If it is faked, some care has gone into making it look real. More likely, the fakery comes when they select the initial pool of candidates to include a large proportion of fools and when Claude treats them harshly rather than being kind as he explains their mistakes to them.

Matthew, asafellow Accountant , i totally agree , i think most candidates have not got a clue , it is often a similar scenario in dragons ,den where candidates do not know the difference between gp and np, they underestimate the importance of figures on both shows , they appear to start with sales and have no idea of the reaction of numbers . to each other , i have never seen in either show an attempt at sensitivity analysis or the effect of taxation

@@malbarlow4991 Excellent points. In particular, you only ever see one 'best guess' projection rather than different scenarios, sensitivity analysis, or Monte Carlo simulation. Failure to address uncertainty in any way is flat out business negligence. Wouldn't lend them £25 let alone £250,000.

I think Victoria's whole business plan was a bit rubbish tbh it was doing pick n mix sweets? I think Lord Sugar is looking to make money not lose it. I highly doubt she would have made a lot doing it plus she didn't sound she knew anything about running a business? The others at least had made a start and were making money. Victoria just sounded like anyone off the street with an idea and zero evidence or plans to show it could work
