Thanks for the videos. I wanted to buy this machine. Unfortunately, at the time I was ready to buy a new machine, Casio was dragging its feet. I ended up with a TI-Nspire CX CAS. Maybe one day in the not to distant future I will find a way to get one. These videos will also help those who haven't purchased a CAS machine yet and are still deciding.

Thank you for your instruction, much appreciation. One dissatisfying comment - I wish the cursor was bigger and highlighted. It is difficult to try to listen and comprehend and at the same time trying to figure out where the cursor is or where the cursor is going as it zips around the screen.

They outlawed this fantastic calculator. I’m not in school and I’m trying to learn how to use it, since you can’t use it in school.

In the Main application, is the only difference between the Action and Interaction menus, the dialog box for parameters in Interaction? I looked at the videos following this one and this question is not answered. The documentation does not answer this either.

Hi, Im a big fan of the Classpad. Do you have any guess as to when Casio might release the next version of the Classpad? I believe this one was released about 8 years ago already, so it should be due? Classpad really needs a processor speed boost, screen res boost and some software tweaks here and there. Its such an awesome calculator but is less popular than all other calculators so I fear Casio may even discontinue it....

We released an updated version, the CG500 in the US in 2017. The CP400 is no longer sold here in the US since it is not approved for standardized assessments due to the QWERTY keyboard. They are working on updates to both CP400 and CG500, but not sure when the next version will be released.

I have a Classpad CG500 calculator, and I present problems when solving an integral, this can be solved by a classpad 300 that is older, Someone can help me solve this. The integral of ((X ^ m + X ^ n) ^ 4) / X. Thank you

how do I charge this calculator or do I just replace the batteries?? If replacing, what are the cords that come with it for?? thank you

You don't need to press any ANS key, just start your new equation with sign like multiply or divide or whatever it is you need to do to the answer and ANS will automatically appear

...Is there an SDK for third party developers?

When doing a calculation over 10 digits, I am only able to see two decimal places, how do I change this to see three or more?

When in one of the menus (so run matrix), click the settings icon (down at the bottom - looks like s spoke-wheel; or you can find it at the top left of the screen too). Choose Basic | Number Format. Here you can change to different formats - up to 9 decimal places) - scroll through the drop down menu (Normal, Fix (0-9), Sci (0-9)

Our CG500 (or CP400 in other countries) is our CAS model. CAS is NOT allowed in US for the most part.

What is the difference between using the Var tab of the soft keyboard and the abc tab? Is this only visual or is this also functional?

Might be a stupid question, but where is the "%" button?

Press the "Keyboard" button on the calculator, select the "abc" tab, select the "Symbol" tab and you should find the % button on the top row in the middle.

Hola,quiero hacerte una consulta, actualmente estoy llevando mecanica de materiales y por ejemplo necesito poner una formula del siguiente tipo (σmax = σx + σy) la cual contiene sub-indices, pero no me la reconoce y en ves de ello me pone otra formula la cual es (σmax = Σx + Σy) como si se tratara de una suma. El detalle es que ya hace unos dias atras podia poner la primera expresion y normal no tenia problemas ahora borre la formula y la quiero poner otra vez pero no puedo me sale la formula de la sumatoria. Pero si pongo la formula de la siguiente manera si agarra σmax = σxx + σyy. Ayudame con ello porfa no se porque hace unos dias si agarro normal y ahora ya no quiere agarrar. Yo uso una classpad 400.

When you are in a Menu option (so Graph, Geometry, etc.), there is a spoke symbol (like a wheel?) which is the settings. The same icon is to the left at the bottom of the screen (outside of the screen). Click that and under basic you can change angles to degrees or radians or grad

The CG500 Prizm CAS was the updated version of the CP400 for the US market. This was in 2017. Not sure when the next version is. The CP400 and the CG500 are similar except for the non-QWERTY keyboard in the CG500 required by assessments.

@@CasioEdTech Thanks for the reply. For that reason I dont consider the CG500 to be an upgrade and highly likely was not intended by Casio as an upgrade? I look forward to the next Classpad.

@@AceOfHearts001 Well - it was an upgrade at the time because of the 3D graphing add-in. I will try to find out more about the next upgrade.
