Hi, thank you for the videos. A very basic question, I can't seem to find the answer to. How do I define a range of values for variables in the list? Say 1 to 5...then 5 to 10.....then 10 to 11?? Help appreciated.

Ok, in the CG400 and/or CG500, go to the Main menu. Type in List1:={1,2,3,4,5} and hit exe. This is now List1 (or you can name it however you want - L1). The := defines the list. Now you can use the list name in calculations that will be preformed on each element in the list. This will auto populate in your Statistics menu as well. I am not quite sure if this is what you meant?

@@CasioEdTech Hi thank you very much for replying. I do not think thats what I had meant. Suppose you have a frequency table for the number of people who walked into a supermarket from 9AM to 12 AM. We have a table with 3 colums titled 9 to 10AM, 10.01AM to 11AM, 11.01AM to 12 PM... (covers 3 hours) On the rows, we have six rows 0 to 100 customers, 201 to 300, 301 to 400...etc. up to 600. No doubt, many many data representation are in this form where the values are in a range (0 to 100, 101 to 200) as its more convenient than showing it in raw data. How do you input this conveniently into classpad? the classes i.e. 0 to 100, 101 to 200....? Please let me know if you have any idea.

@@AceOfHearts001 Ah. So, in that case, I would use the Spreadsheet Menu, not the statistics. Columns B - D would be the times listed. In column A, starting with Row 2, I would then put your row descriptors (so A2 0-100, A3 101-200, A4 201-300, etc. Then you can use the spreadsheet graphical displays.

@@CasioEdTech Hey Thnx again and I appreciate you giving this way of doing it. But without the stat ap, we wont get stat data like upper / lower quartiles which depends on interpolation from classes, and i guess other stat data wont be easy to derive without writing own formula into the spreadsheet, like standard deviation for example. Why has casio omitted this major facility from the Stat ap, I realIy dont know.

Those are typically found under our Statistics menu, but it depends on the calculator model. You can email educalc@casio.com for a User Manual for your particular calculator model.

How do I run the chi squared Test? I dont know how tell the Casio what Matrix ist should use for the Test

You have to give your matrix a name (i.e. a, b, c, etc.) and store it. Then when you are in the statistics menu, Calculate, Test, and X^2 test, you should get an option that says Next. Then there is a box that appears and asks you what matrix, and you put in the name you assigned to that matrix.

Hi Charlie, does Classpad have some more advanced stats features such as fiinding E(X) or Var(X) etc.?

I don't believe it has E(X) or Var(x). @@CasioEdTech Ok thank you. I would like some people who have some link with/influence over Casio to make suggestions for the next Classpad. I have been making a list of missing features and it keeps getting bigger! Not sure how to get them to listen.

@@AceOfHearts001 You can send this to calctraining@casio.com This goes to the US Product Manager and she is in contact with R&D about updates and new versions, so she will be sure to pass it along to the Tokyo development team. I know they are working on a new version of the fx-991EX scientific calculator at the moment, so not quite sure what the pipeline is for the CG500 (CP400) ClassPad
