i honestly can't believe that lie is a real song like it's such a masterpiece that i can't even put it into words. i'm not exaggerating this in any way; i've listened to it on repeat for more than a week with it being the only song i listened to (and i literally mean only) and i still haven't gotten tired of it at all. it's so mind bogglingly perfect and amazing and i'm honestly struggling to type this because i know that no matter what i say, my love for this song cannot be properly expressed. every time i listened to lie, it feels like falling in love over and over. i don't know exactly what it is but something about it is so extremely perfect in every way.

It is really a masterpiece unlike anything else. And the lyrics? So simple, effective and meaningful. Nothing is unnecessary. Jimin really has a way with lyrics that way. If he wasn't so hard on himself and his work and learned to just not give a f about the result every time, I think he would've written and released plenty of songs by now.

Jimin is so amazing and this song is such a masterpiece. And when coupled with Jimin’s incredible vocal techniques, emotions and the breathtaking performance, it’s just so perfect !

The thing i love most about this song is that it's hauntingly beautiful, but also sad, and even a little seductive. it's got so many moods to it, and it has a really good meaning behind the lyrics too.

8:09 this is how every straight man reactor in youtube and in real life ends up loving jimin... "everyone loves jimin" is definitely a fact.

As someone who's not well versed in music theory, it's amazing to me how easily they pick up on the minor to major change and it's significance- something which totally went over my head.

I never realised that the switch from a minor to a major might have been purposely done to give more strenght to the meaning/ to be presented as a lie itself. That is genius. Thank you for opening my eyes.

lie is a confusingly interesting song. i mean, the first time i heard it, i was hooked as soon as they smacked me in the face with that major. I'm not quite fond of the way jimin handles his voice, but am really fond of his tone all the same

it's fair to say that lie made me a bts fan. before i was kinda unsure about stanning them, but this song... man, i'm not even a musician in any way, but when that note changed into major i was like "hold the f up! what just happened???". and jimin's vocals... this song is truly a masterpiece. so happy these guys have finally reacted to it.

When they said, 'the major comes only when he says "caught in a lie" so it's a lie itself'. I am like W-H-A-T!!!!!!!!!!????????? WHAT? When you see it all and think BTS is the best, their music in a theory and like technical way is crazy too. Like what?

I disagree with the theory that the lie is the major chord. I think it's more that the minor key is a metaphor for the lie, and the minor key triplets are like a web of lie(s), and the major key note symbolizes Jimin successfully extracting himself from the lie for a half second, but then submerges back into the web of the lie that he's caught in.

Again I’ll say Jimin is the bts differentiator- he makes bts above other groups - his unique voice tone and dance style, and this song exemplifies this !!!

*I just can't imagine this song will give us the same vibe if jimin isn't the one doing it. Like no one can pull this off except him, his vocals makes this song even more of a masterpiece. I think the fact that they made the key and meter reflective of the lyrics’ meaning, really goes to show how much time and care Jimin put into creating this song. “Lie” is absolutely beautiful, and I truly hope Jimin is proud of what he’s created.

After watching this reaction just make me so proud of Jimin!!!!!No wonder Lie is the most successful solo song out of BTS WINGS albums. The compose, the lyrics and the vocal all combined together so well."The major, is a lie" just show how delicate this song has been arranged. I'm so glad that Jimin is such a talented man.

I don't know, saying he should see this puts the need of reevaluation on him when it's at least just as much on the fans. Granted, the idol/fan relationship unhealthiness goes both ways, but in this case, it's also a product of expectations. "They're so amazing they can sing and dance at the same times and kill these high notes and perform for hours etc", no, they're not >that< good, and all these unrealistic expectations of irrational fans seeing perfect beings is part of what creates this unexetricable pressure which then can contribute to the kind of "impostor syndrome" Jimin seems to feel and the song can be interpreted being about.

Pomme Frite I don't think I had that thought of 'he must know he's perfect' in mind, I just thought it'd be good for him to see a more constructive compliment so that he knows his song is musically complex n good in that way. I kinda see what you mean though. For me I believe that Jimin still has a lot of room to improve, like you said, he's not an absolute perfect performer, but I think he shouldn't stress himself so much, or at least don't just put his self-worth into his performance, which is a difficult thing to not do, cuz as a performer there's that responsibility to do well. I thought this evaluation of his song would be an encouragement to him cuz it has more substance that the standard 'omg he's perfect' comments.
