You're the first reactor who referred to Caccini right off the bat. I was blessed to attend this concert. As soon as he stopped singing I sent his teacher a message and asked about this arrangement, and he also said Caccini.

I love the Caccini/Vavilov version - I have some history with it! So it's what I think of when I hear Ave Maria. Then, hearing Igor's version, it became obvious it was the basis for this composition; or at least for part of it! I'm glad you got to attend this concert - I'm sure it was wonderful!

Thank you, Sir. For years I've searched for a reactor that: - Objectively knows music theory and explains it well, without being cold and emotionless (I've watched countless reactions by people breaking down chord progressions, key changes, sound engineering and whatnot, without reacting as a person) - Subjectively actually reacts, sharing their individuality, without being overly dramatic and theatrical (tearing down the curtains and eating the carpet screaming, without having a clue about music theory) You're that person. Subscribed of course and am looking forward to discovering your other reactions. Thank you again.

Dimash is 29 this year. Even though he's been singing/training and performing since the age of five, I saw a short video of him working with a vocal coach to make sure he perfected the somewhat difficult technique for the last two notes. Simply Amazing. He worked with Igor, asking him to create an Ave Maria for him. The original being a Christian song, he wanted his version to be for everyone, no matter their faith or beliefs.

Igor wrote about the creation of this on his Instagram. 😊 "One evening, about three months before the "New Wave", Dimash called me and asked if I could write "Ave Maria " for him, explaining that he wanted to sing something in that style... Coincidentally I had a free evening and I gladly sat down at the piano and, remembering the Italian formula of responsibility, worked with inspiration until I achieved the desired result. . . After taking a few days for the composition to "rest" in my ears, soul, and heart, I sent it to Dimash, who literally within half an hour answered that it was exactly what he wanted to hear. And of course, the reception and applause given to Dimash by the audience at the "New Wave" show what happiness it is to do what I love, to write for such a genius singer, to evoke deep emotion in the audience, and to be in demand... Just a short essay on " What is happiness?"

Every time I listen to Dimash's angelic voice singing Ave Maria I think he might be the human equivalent of the Amazonian bird called uirapuru. According to the indigenous legend, the uirapuru's song is so beautiful and enchanting that all other birds in the entire Amazon Forest keep silent to hear it, so incredibly magical and powerful the singing sounds... WOW!! Another performance where we can see a very “exposed” singing by Dimash is in his cover of the classic japanese song "Ikenaide" in the 20th TOKYO JAZZ FESTIVAL (2021). Besides, I loved the brief duet you did with Dimash in the middle of the video and I’ll watch it again to try to absorb more details from your great explanation/discussion - thank you very much, Sir, for this amazing reaction!❣

Brasil. Abraço Hello Maria, I thought your analogy of Dimash with our Uirapuru bird was beautiful, really when he sings once a year the whole jungle falls silent and in silence respectfully bends over to hear this beauty of song. Thank you for this review. What I found unique is Dimash wanted to reach all religious people. Muslim Dimash and Jewish Igor collaborated on a Christian Catholic hymn done as vocalize. This is how Dimash views humanity and as you can hear, he is a divine gift to all of us. I have heard this video probably over 250 times and it still captivates me. Enjoy your journey.

Mother Mary was Jewish, as was Jesus, Mary is respected with reverence in the Muslim faith, & Ave Maria while most notably used as a catholic hymn is far more than that. I always see this comment, but I’ve never heard of any of these thoughts actually being attributed to anything Dimash or Igor has said about it? Please let me know if you can direct me to any interview or anything that does.. I think the sentiments you speak of are nice, but at the same time perhaps not entirely accurate for the above reasons. I say this in part because I myself had no idea the Muslim faith recognized Mary in this way before someone educated me.

For me it is like a prayer for the world that everyone can understand, therefore there is no text in this version of "Ave Maria". Dimash sends a message of peace and love to the whole world without using words! The New Wave Festival began its history in 2002 and for many years has become one of the most important musical events not only for Russia, but for the entire creative world. The TV audience of "Nowa Wave" is over 200 million people. In 2021, Dimash was one of the jurors and sang 3 songs as a guest "Ave Maria";"Stranger";and "Fly Away" Igor Krutoy (composer and friend of Dimash) revealed the creation of the composition "Ave Maria" for Dimash, a composition that is included in the new album (music. I. Krutoy). Igor Krutoy's words: " Italians like to say that each composer is worth exactly as much as his last work, that is, all the successes and achievements so far do not count ... and now) and I started to perceive my new compositions through the prism of Italians ... One evening, about three months before "New Wave", Dimash called and asked if I could write "Ave Maria" for him, explaining it by wanting to sing something like that ... remembering the Italian formula of responsibility, I worked with inspiration until I achieved the desired result ... Taking a few days for the composition to "pour out" in my ears, soul and heart and I sent it to Dimash, who literally within half an hour replied that it was exactly what he wanted to hear. And of course the reception and the standing ovation that the audience gave Dimash on "New Wave" speak of how lucky it is to do what you love, write for such a singer with a brilliant sense of music, evoke deep emotions in the audience and be desired. .. Well just an essay on "What is happiness?" ... " instagram.com/p/CTkksWxINr6/ I recommend watching the video of the Olympic figure skating champion from Russia dancing to the song "Ave Maria" sung by Dimash: 👉Anna Shcherbakova dances on ice to - Ave Maria - Beijing 2022 - kzread.info/dash/bejne/mpVm07p8nMzHmMo.html 👉 Dimash's reaction to Anna Shcherbakova's performance - kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y5-pytxql6SWhpfL.htmle:

I just love your knowledge that uncovers depths and meanings of Dimash's performances and Igor's intentions in his compositions. Your insight is rather unique in the world of Dimash reactors. Also, the 'Ah' sound in Hebrew is the sound of the letter 'Aleph', which represents God. So, actually the 'lyrics' are very deep.

🗣️🎶. Him in front of a full length mirror, his palm on his throat, his coach on a stool. One note compressed loud to soft, over and over. One foot moved, another slightly different, forward, a little, back, torso weight adjusted, one foot slightly to the side, another to the back, weight on each adjusted, the same note over and over. Shoulders, neck, facial muscles, head movement, all the while feeling for the exact vibration of his vocal chords he's seeking for one note. Hours. A video. Watch his body placement on his last note, one foot forward placing his balance slightly forward.

That last exquisite note pierces my soul. Every. Single. Time. Important to note is that Dimash wanted the song written with only vocalizations to make the message universal. It’s obviously an intensely spiritual song with the soaring high notes invoking angels. With the title it connects to the divine feminine.

And when you add the D8 whistle note in his Unforgettable Day……..my dear god! Now you are absolutely sure that he had to breathe, and it’s not just that something other than that would frighten us out of our bloody wits, right? The piano keyboard can’t contain him. Is he in fact the greatest vocalist the world has thus far seen?

Thank you. Dimash asked Igor Krutoy to compose this for him and he did. It is a new composition. Dimash is Muslim and Igor is Jewish, so this is not a Christian composition, but instead it is for everyone. It is gorgeous and Dimash's vocal skills are stunning. It is like he channeled the angels. I was hoping that you would do this one. I truly appreciate your reactions and analysis. 'Ethereal' is a perfect word to describe Dimash's singing. I loved you giving an example with your voice over his to help us understand what you are saying. :)

Notice at the beginning when Dimash is getting ready to sing you hear the heartbeat slowing down before stopping then Dimash sings its like the passing of life to be greeted by the angels. To me this is the closest you will get to heaven without going there. Even though this isn't the Catholic Prayer version it still gets the message across beautifully

Wow, I can imagine what a happiness it was for Igor and Dimash to meet each other. Igor is a genuine composer and such singers as Dimash are immense source of inspiration for such people. Likewise, Dimash is happy to have such a "second Father" to him, who is able to considerately gift him such great presents, as such songs which fill his heart with happiness and allow him to expose his talents to the full, while making other people happy as well.
