to the reactors who wanted there to be a buildup to his head voice riffs and high notes -- they would LOVE cry for love !!! same album, but quite a different emotional effectiveness. this was baekhyun truly giving everything he has in his arsenal, but cry for love has some really fascinating dynamics and phrasing choices that I think the musicians would love!!

Like raffi said the song is called "all I got" bc the vocalist is supposed to give "all [they've] got" baekhyun didn't change any of the riffs from tone's version, meaning those are tone's intentions, not baekhyun's. I think he does the song perfectly as intended.

exactly! and i think anyone who knows baekhyun knows that he doesnt constantly flex his vocals there are many songs where he sings pretty softly for example my turn to cry hes not hitting constant high notes. I think it's funny how many times someone mentions his range when EXO members have said Chen and Xiumin have a wider range. For the guys who thought he came in too early with the high notes and riffing, I feel like that is just Baekhyun. I don't know how exactly to explain it- to me it matches his personality and certain moments I've seen from him. But I think he puts the emotion throughout the song instead of an overall gradual buildup along with high notes, which may come of as inauthentic emotion because it's on high the whole time. He really does give his all right at the beginning and throughout the entire song. Though, I can see how knowing his taste in music and watching Baekhyun & EXO content makes it easier for me to more evidently see and hear that authenticity. Cry For Love has more of a gradual buildup and is my personal favorite track from the album.

I would disagree with him not being convincing and coming in to early with the high notes because it fit so well with the story telling of the album as a whole. Also, the song is called All I Got, and he gave just that. It was perfect, and as a woman, I believed every word and note. It is a beautiful song.
