The entire City Lights album is a masterpiece. I recommend it for everyone to listen to whenever you have time. Baekhyun really exceeded my expectations (which were extremely high to begin with) and I can’t wait to see what he has to offer in the future.

@@bugu7323 But even Chen felt he was overlooked at times - seen as a great idol group voice (in a group that had 4 really talented vocalists - Chen, Baek, D.O. and Luhan) - he wanted to be heard as a great vocalist, period, and not just the really talented singer from Exo

@@jamesrawlins735 yeah that's why a lot of people see him as a boring idol from the outside, but he is just honestly insanely dedicated to perfecting himself as a vocalist. Then when you get into it you learn how much he silently cares for the other members and how fans think he's the best at fan meets because he always maintains eye contact and remembers details about returning fans. But he's just kind of a workhorse who likes perfecting his craft.

My Baekhyun has the most beautiful voice. I loved how they mostly listened to UN Village. It's the sign of a true artist.

i’m glad you reacted to psycho, i think its one of the most challenging song on city lights.

I just realized what UN Village and Psycho are about! -UN Village is about Baekhyun -Psycho is about X-Baekhyun(he is from X-EXO, who are clones made by the Red Force, they replaced EXO 4 years ago in one of their comebacks lol fans have been stanning fakes until now😂)

Psycho is one of my all time favorite kpop songs ever. I feel like it's just so unique, and the fact that through it all it feels so conflicted which shows his emotions, and works alongside the lyrics. Baekhyun is my favorite vocal in exo (and my bias, lol) and he is such a unique vocalist. I love him so much.

Wow, I love your channel it’s so amazing to hear from these musicians they bring out the organic concept to the songs, especially with “Psycho” how he was able to take his voice and the music in telling a story about his inner struggles and fighting with the other personality and that in the end they where still their together with the echo at the end.

I love the new edits of examples of what every musician is trying to explain. It makes so much sense when you see what they mean using the song itself and it's great. Thank you so much for putting effort into it!

13:45 I think rather than trying to undermine or stigmatize mental health problems (as the girl mentions) the song psycho, for me at least, aims to creatively portray those exact feelings of horror and instability and rather than it necessarily being society aiming those notions towards the victim, it is instead showing how it feels for the person themselves. Like i feel like im a psycho, this is whats going on in my head, this is how I'M feeling. Despite knowing that there is an issue, mentally, one can fight with themselves and see themselves in a monstrous way because things are not always so cut and crystal, theyre horrifying and confusing you can feel like youre going crazy. I guess I can understand why some would take this negatively but I'm receiving this as a creative way of portraying the state and thoughts of those who'd be suffering a jackal and clyde state of mind. Edit: I will probably delete this comment soon if others continue to have a problem with what I said since I never considered some may find this offensive or lacking of consideration to those with mental illnesses. I apologize if it came across that way, it was just my opinion and not my intention to be disrespectful or disregarding of other opinions or anyone’s mental state.

If you don't actually experience psychosis or other kinds of mental illnesses which the term psycho is used as a slur towards though then its not your place to speak as if you are experiencing that and write from that point of view, even if it comes from a place just trying to be creative the information will be inaccurate and inauthentic and the messages the audience will gather will be harmful by wrongly associating inaccurate ideas with those mental illnesses. As much as the song is beautiful, its harmful to name and have lyrics that portray inaccuracies about experiencing those kinds of mental illnesses, and for those who do not have these intimate personal experiences of having that kind of mental illnesses, its not their place to make up imagery or feelings as to what it might be like that aren't deeply compassionately researched and listened to. I would argue that people without those mental illnesses shouldn't profit off of songs pretending to have mental illnesses they don't have, or comparing their feelings to mental illnesses at all, even if without ill intentions, the impact and harm matters more than intention.

J Cat yeah, that makes complete sense but I feel like that notion could be applied to plenty of things commonly lyricized about throughout the music industry. I can definitely see how some people would have a problem with this, both affected by such mental illnesses and not, and then I can also imagine that some would welcome (loosely used wording) such terms to depict the experience. I myself suffer from mental illnesses and granted they aren’t as severe as say dissociative personality disorder or something but I sympathized with the song since it really feels like that at times. I didn’t feel like I was being called psycho but like something is making me feel that way. I’m not about to go and say I got emotional or anything over the song but I just enjoyed being able to jam to something well produced and be like yeah, my mind feels like this today. But again, I can see how some may be offended by the wording, nevertheless, this was just my opinion and thank you for thinking the song is beautiful otherwise.
