Hauling that XJ-12 around Mallory must be like trying to drive a supertanker on a boating lake... And the XJ-S, though that's probably more like an aircraft carrier...

Something for everyone, . How quick is that Imp of David Heals, great to see. They do need to keep an eye on non period appendages that can make the cars appear non historic and adds nothing to the racing. One thing I didn't notice, how can one imp challenge for the win and another challenge the patience of the drivers stuck behind? They must of been relieved when it blew up 😂

Is it some kind of law, that commentators of motorsport have to constantly scream and talk very loud and fast, telling you what is going on right in front of your eyes. Often they are so busy talking loud and fast, that they fail to see whats happening on the track.

That was a shocker for the driver of the Alfa 145, either no brakes or a stuck throttle. If he hadn't been tagged by the big SAAB he would have been head-on into the barrier at the hairpin. Very nasty, he was a lucky boy...

Shame the 'commentator' didn't know how to pronounce Wolseley (twice).

At 22:35 they refer to the car as a Falcon? Looks like a Holden Monaro to me.

It absolutely is a Holden Monaro. Even says Holden across the sun strip in giant letters. Can't imagine what the commentator was thinking.

Even the results list this car as a Falcon! It would be interesting to find out the history on these cars...the actual Falcon looks like an ex Gibson Motorsport car and the Monaro could be ex Gary Rogers?

@@fireenginefan111 I believe the Falcon is an ex-V8 Supercars machine. The Holden/Vauxhall Monaro might be ex-Australian GT championship, a car that used to give the Lamborghinis and Ferraris a fright around some of the tracks with longer straights, courtesy of its 7-litre V8 but it's uncertain. It may just be a replica...

I believe this driver usually campaigns a Falcon in these races, but presumably had issues with it so entered the Holden/Vauxhall instead and the entry list didn't catch up with the change. It does happen. It's still big, V8 and rear-wheel drive, and certainly not a car you see racing in the UK often...
