Classic Jurassic Ammonite Surprises! ( Lyme Regis Fossils)

I go on a long fossil walk to the East of Lyme Regis, in conjunction with safe tide times. The best fossils are found at low tide .I hope you find some fossils along the Jurassic Coast-at low tide. Sometimes fossil hunting turns out to be treasure hunting, it’s fun just to see the “ treasures” on the large rocks. The Jurassic Coast really does have some stunning fossils. I recommend wearing safety glasses and sturdy rubber gloves when hammering the right rocks. Remember the cliffs are dangerous and liable to fall suddenly and without warning. Keep away from the dangerous cliffs. The best fossils are washed out onto the beaches at low tide, by the sea's actions. Look out for the slippery seaweed on the ledges and rocks. Thanks 🙏 very much for your comments. It’s such a beautiful beach to search along at low tide. The fossils here are so well preserved and even the small ones are perfect- some of them .
Interesting to see the erosion of the boulder and how the sea impacts and erodes, a nice piece of coral being washed as well. Great video.

Thanks 🙏 very much for your comments. I think 🤔 the kids on their Easter Holidays are out there finding a lot now on the Lyme Regis beaches - at low tide. So I don’t go out so much now, but a lot of people bring the fossils that they have found to show me ! That is always good fun seeing what the other people have found .

It’s really busy yes 🙌 ! the area looks a lot drier as well! So hopefully the folkes now will be doing alright, but I think the beaches will be picked clean in a few weeks time 🕰️.
