Classic Cars of Mayberry | The Andy Griffith Show
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Take down your fishing pole and meet me at the fishing hole, where today we'll be taking a look at the classic cars of Mayberry from The Andy Griffith Show. Automobiles played an important part in the show. In fact, several of the best episodes were written around cars and the people who were driving them. So let’s take a gander at some of these fine machines, and the roles they played.
Andy Taylor is the widower sheriff of the small, sleepy North Carolina town of Mayberry. Andy and son Opie live with Aunt Bee, who takes care of the family. Andy's deputy is his bumbling but neurotically hilarious cousin, Barney Fife. Among Andy's Mayberry friends is the town's resident barber, Floyd.

That 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB they were looking at is now worth about 3.3 million. Original cost in 1966 $10,000

The solid Turquoise "1961" Edsel belong to a couple who lived in Corona. The license plate was PPP 556. Aunt Bea's '55 Sunliner has a Fordomatic, but in the script she can't drive it because it's a standard!
This is one of the reasons I like watching Perry Mason and Andy Griffith they always had the top model T-Birds such a beautiful Ford cars.

VERY GREAT VIDEO!!! THX...
9:51 This is astonishing. Ford was engaged in a life and death boardroom war with Ferrari in 1966. It's mind-blowing that Ford didn't raise the roof with the show's producers over this segment featuring a Ferrari.
Kidd you have brought back many memories of things of the past of the things that you put here today. For my friend and I met in 1959 grade school. For he and I always kept in contact for many years until I got out of the Corps in late 1985. For we both had the love of cars, for we had found an old 55 Jag XK 140, for he and I had built that car together for 4 yr's from the ground up and 3 months later after we had completed it my brother died from a heart attack .But there is one thing that you must understand that my brother was black and I am white. But one thing is for sure that we of all colors will always stand together under this Flag of the US. For I know this true for all my brothers under the Red white and blue. Automotive “extras” not mentioned, but in the episode involving the 1925 Harley, there was parked a 1963 Mercury Meteor Station Wagon. The mid-sized Meteor was only produced in 1962 and 1963. The wagon was one-year only - 1963. Less than 9,000 were built.

I love all the old cars. My Dad drove a 1947 Chrysler 4 door sedan until around 1968 when he bought a Dodge Station Wagon. Don't remember which model.
love the 4 seater T-Birds from 1958-1966 The bullet featured in the Peggy episode where her father gave it to her for her birthday was not my favorite, but I have to give Ford credit for the wild style. I see the bullet T-Bird was featured in at least two other episodes Thanks Fusion Kidd
My two favorites are the short bus that the Mayberry Band goes to the state finals and the motorcycle with a side car. I live in a very rural small town and I can see the old men that used to hangout at the post office/gas station doing the exact same thing that they did on the show.
