45 min to train pekka, arming infernos xbows and traps was so so expensive. People left their townhalls on the edge for a free shield. Nostalgia

I miss global chat… best way to find active clans imo. The free gem spammers that would randomly join your clan, the days when we had to pay for our troops. No builder base, no clan games, no clash pass, just wars… wars were life.

The upgrade used to cost way less then now but it was so hard to grind resources since training troops also take elixer at that time and the hero's were like a dream that no one could achive

A lot of the timers are lower now too. Remember when hidden Tesla 2/3 would take a week now lvl 8 to 9 is like 4 days.

Remember playing back when I was in primary school. Back when if u didn't attack in a clan war you'd get beta up at school 😂

I've been playing COC off and on for quite a long time, and before that, I would watch my older brother and sister play. It's really wholesome to see the evolution of the game since when I started playing it till now. I wouldn't go so far as to say that I'm a veteran because of my sporadic gameplay, but I still remember the old days of global chat, selling buildings, and monstrous nightmare fuel that were the troops. The game has evolved a lot, and it feels like a splash of cold water every time I circle back to playing it and am reminded of what it was like to play back in 2014.

i remember when town hall 8 was the max town hall and when th9 got added it was so lit

When I first started coc I kept the first wizards for at least 1 month (you only use 2 in the tutorial an keep the rest) but I recently started my 3rd account and I they disappeared after 1 day 😢

Recently re-download both it and Royale, played a bit as a smurf for the fun, but they completely nerfed all my old strats, between taking away the wizards in CoC, and making you level up to hit higher arenas in Royale, they took away so much fun😭

I wish we could talk to people again in global :( i miss those days so much

I started playing in September/October 2012. Good times, I remember when my friends would tap on the enemy village during an attack to make me lose trophies. Global chat, flags ahh good times.

I haven’t played in between 2020 and 2022. I was shocked to see builder 2.0/raids and all new town halls lol. Still have a lot to learn, even though I played since 2013

I graduated high school in 2013, so I remember the early days of COC. One of the best early smart phone games, definitely stuck around for longer than any game I remember from those days.

Who remembers this. Tiers 1-3 wizard shot little fireballs, 4-5 shot lightning bolts, and 6 shot a magma blast.

I remember all of this, i was 7-8 years old when clash of clans got released

I first played the game way back 2016 and stopped at year 2018. Now 2023 got back at it again and I really miss the global chat where people would try to recruit you and have conversations with you. I even got to experience spending my new years with my clan mates and greeting one another. Good times.

Ah yes the good old days of clash when the goblin looked like he took a few extra rips out the Bong the healer looked like she did 6 lines of Coke the dragon had some birth defect and the giant Well the giant looked like he was about to get freaky with some minors

The only thing I really miss is the multiple barracks, and having to pay for troops

I'll never forget the dozens of clan invites just by typing "Need Clan"

Since I started playing CoC in 2019, the most nostalgic thing to me was the lightning spells and you guys already know why... Lightning spells used to have 2 housing space in the spell factory and it have the same range as the rage spell, and the same attack pattern of when the electro dragon explodes.

Yeah I stil remmber that, When I was a kid I used to sell all my buildings, I didnt know what I waa doing

Having more than one barracks and troops not costing elixer after installing the game 10 years later was an absolute trip for me

I remember collecting the flags and laying them all over the border of the map as if I was flexing the resources I used to buy them. Then I got tired of that and only chose a few "ally" countries and making a temple in each corner of the map.

I remember playing only the singleplayer for so long because I was scared of what other players decimating my village would be like. Eventually I did it, and I regretted it dearly when it turns out i had to pay to fix my stuff. I just gave up on the game at that point until around 2016, when sure, more stuff was in the game, but the graphics were almost the same. Coming back nowadays, the old clash of clans feels like a fever dream in a nostalgic sort of way. Or, in other words, old clash of clans was a loveable kind of not understandable to me.

I remembered when it costs elixir to train troops... This is so nostalgic remembering back to my old account from when I was a six-year-old...

What that was less than a year ago

2012: "lightning spam for resources" 2023: "still the fucking lightning spam"

When I played back in day, we use to look at Townhall 11 players like gods, and Townhall 11 was the longest running Townhall with the span of 3 years of being the ultimate end game Now look, looking back it feels like childsplay I'm currently at Th13 almost max and a semi-rushed Th15

I was so sad when I returned and all of my decorations were deleted. I had gotten all of the flags

Imagine a CoC game but it's a third person Action-RPG Open World game.

I used to use buy flags as way to store gold for “big” upgrades when I was in lower hall levels. But sell values were only like 10% of the original price for each flag. It was soooo much harder to save gold from looting back in the days. 😅

I just came back after years and it is so different o remember the og stuff now it's just crazy
