It's been so great seeing gabriel relax, smile and make jokes now. It seems at least to me that he was very stiff and maybe a little shy or uncomfortable in his situation. But over time you can see him really have fun and lossen up. Great to see who he really is and how funny he can be. Love your vids clarence I started oly lifting because of you and seeing two high level athletes just chill and have fun but also push each other to PR has only made me wanna pursue it even more.👌👌

They also didn't touch on how it's helpful to be more immobile in powerlifting since they're all partial lifts. On the other hand, it's more helpful to be mobile in weightlifting since you need to be strong at the bottom of an ATG squat with excellent shoulder mobility to stay with a heavy snatch.

R R Internal rotation is just a que. Nobody is actually legit in full internal rotation or external rotation. But the angle depends. Torokhtiy has a very forward leaning torso when snatching so that’s why he says you should internally rotate (but he doesn’t actually fully internally rotate). You should just think about squeezing your scaps to create a stable position and try to lock the bar into a stable position. Play around with it and you will find the best position for you.
