Claire is a super mom. So difficult to watch at times today. We love you Claire and all the USS family! Thank you Baiba!

Claire worked so hard for so long today on that line, thank goodness it paid off. What a hero. I actually had to quit watching after a while.

STUNNING ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. When I first heard this fishing line story I was like, I cannot watch another nest tragedy but here it is a few days later and I am in just awe...The attention, the look from mother to baby and baby to mother just brought me to tears, joyful tears. Then that music begins and ohhhhh boy. Such a blessing to view these beautiful majestic birds. It's no wonder that God chose this bird in His Covenant. Thank you Thank you Thank you God for the mercies given unto this baby eaglet. Thank you Baiba for sharing this special bond and dedication of a mothers love.

I’ve seen a lot of parents in a lot of different nest. Some are more attentive than others. Claire however seems to be the most attentive I’ve come across …. that was beautiful.🦅🥰❤️ I don’t know. Just imagine Claire with M15 ….though I love F23 she is still young. It’s like he’s bringing up two youngsters.

F23 might be young be is an incredible mother and an amazing mate to M15. She hunts and provides as well as defends the nest. She's M15s equal, definitely not like another youngster

1)In addition to Mom's love and persistence, we can thank " Eyes like an Eagle' yet again. This time the 'near Vision 'aspect of a BE. She was able to focus within an inch or so to grab the Translucent Nylon leader within her Beak grasp, while trying to free it from the Nest floor rubble. Humans, best near vision occurs @6-8 yrs of age and most can focus to that close range. But(fortunately) adult Eagles retain that Focus range throughout their lives. 2) Mom is Truly a problem solver here. She runs out of up--down beak extraction distance of the Leader pc. and decides--no matter how long it is, "If i just take off with one end of it in my Beak, and fly off with it, the entire piece will come free of my Chick and the Nest Floor. rubble" Smart Mom in action--recognizing Danger and coming up with a Solution to the Problem. Thanks for Posting. Heard talk of this event yesterday in Chat, but this Video shows clearly how and why played out the way it did.

The mother and the chick were both entangled in the fishing line. Mom freed the chick from it and got rid of it herself
