Poor e21 was chirping away "Mama I'm cold!" I was watching this saying "Come on mama!...roll her back under you!" Thank God she figured out how to get the chick back under her safe and sound!

E21 is like mom let me get back under you! I’m cold!!!!! Lol!!!

Well that was so scary. I was shocked at how long it took to get E21 back under her. E21 seemed to be working he or she self back to Mama. Mama finally got E21 back under her. Thank God it worked out.

As I watched this on live stream, I was saying, as tho she could hear me, Harriet, get your baby, please get your baby!!! But then I realized she was getting her baby but had to work her way close enough to roll it back under her and at the same time, protect the baby that was hatching. So, then I watched, fascinated how she was calmly and carefully positioning herself where she finally was close enough to bring E21 safe to her warm, cozy self!! Whew!!! Amazing rescue by Mom!! Thank you, Lady Hawk!!

I put the playback on 1.5x speed and it still took too long for Harriet to resolve the situation, LOL. God bless Harriet and her family.

At first, She's looking at E21 like "how did you do that & what are you doing over there?"

Those were a LONG twelve minutes between 10:52pm and 11:04pm! I was so concerned when E21 would chirp and yet Harriet would reposition herself away from E21 *and then almost fall back asleep!* My biggest concern in those 12 minutes was that E21 would get too cold and run out of energy to chirp, and then H would fall back asleep. And later, M15 landed right on the spot where E21 was! Thankfully, H got the baby back underneath her by that point. I was so relieved. ♥️

Reminds me of Cholyn accidentally flinging Lancer out of the nest at TH last year, scary! This could have been worse, thank goodness for amazing nest building after the hurricane

And it's cold here in SWFL tonight!! Thank God she didn't fling baby E21 completely out of the nest!

Yes that has happened at other nests before!! Fortunately the nest was built with high guard rails and E21 was not thrown too far!!!

It took forever because the term birb brain came into effect.

Harriet truly is an amazing Mama. She kept shifting to keep an eye on E21 and still never stopped incubating E22. When she realized E21 was not coming back on it’s own, she was right there. What is so sweet was how gentle she was getting her baby safe under her. Thank you, Lady Hawk! What suspense!

And I was told that Eagle parents won't try to get their baby back into its nest bowl! (Maybe it applies to outta tHa nest tree, not bowl) Goes to show you how politically incorrect that comment can be! NEVER UNDERESTIMATE tHA UNCONDITIONAL LOVE OF A MAMA! "Great recovery Mama Harriet! Told you before to get ur rest whenever you can. You are definitely gonna have your talons full with this clutch"! 😁 Now We understand why M is so adamant when building nest crib rails to perfection... Harriet is wise. All happening under her control. Both Harriet and M are such caring parents💕💕💞💞 E21 and E22 (egg2) are absolutely under parent's protection and vigilance😍😍 God bless🙏🙏❤

Oh my, that was scary! Thank god it wasnt fling out of the nest! Poor thing. Harriett cant see and you can tell she was stressed with that chirping sound, she keeps on getting up and rotating. In my head I kept on telling Harriett, go scoop her up like Mom DNR and she did. Thank goodness E21 keep on chirping. I know Harriett didn’t mean to fling E21 out, she’s an awesome Mom.

Thank goodness E21 is safe and sound and that darkness had not fallen yet or the pesky owl could swoop down. That was my biggest concern. Well done mom.

Whew. Harriet is unbelievable. Years ago she saved Ozzie from choking to death and now she saved her baby from death by exposure. ❤

Oh wow that could have turned out badly. I keep forgetting that they don't see the light like we can, so she maybe didn't realize what had happened. If E21 didn't stop making sounds I hate to think what might have happened. I wonder if that's why M15 jumped down into the nest to make sure everything was alright. I think that the reflection of the church cross on the egg may have saved this little one. Thanx LH. I almost didn't want to watch this video.

@@melmasi5098 yeah that was pretty scary lol that’s happened to me several times in the past too 😆, For an instant I always seem to forget that the “nest bowl” and the “nest” are two different things 😅 and so I always freak out anytime I see something like “eaglet rolls out of nest bowl” (or escapes the nest bowl, falls out of the nest bowl, is pushed out of the nest bowl..etc)

I tuned in, when E21 was out of the bowl. I told my husband to watch Harriet get it back under her, because she is such an experienced mom. She did just that, and never disappoints! Way to go, Harriet and M. Your nest is so successful, because y’all are such good parents!

Seems like all is ok now but this scared me I had to see right away!! Praying for healthy E21 and hatch of E22 ❤🙏

I just find watching it very difficult. I’m still traumatized from watching the eaglet that pushed its sibling out of the nest last year 🥺😭

She rolls him/her like an eggie... I was so scared when I read the title too!

On the one hand, it's amazing that Harriet reeled E21 back in YES, on the other hand, it's amazing that she didn't immediately recognize what happened and fix it IMMEDIATELY. With birds, or humans, we just don't know why they do things like they do! Either way, way to go Harriet!

I was about to call it a night & saw the notice for your video--holy smokes, that was scary LH!! You could see Mom was bothered--thankfully she figured it out & got E21 back under her safe & sound!! Looks like E22 has hatched or extremely close. Poor M15 he’s been trying his hardest for 3 days now to snap that damn twig off to the right side. You can tell how annoyed at it he is. He’s been snapping, biting moving and fighting with this stick! 😂 I’m glad I can find humor because things could have been disastrous tonight. Harriett was amazing.

Oh my heart!🥺 Thump, thump THUMP!!!🤪 I was sooo scared for chirping baby E21! I was out of mind screaming at monitor! I had to take a time out and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 and thankfully Mama Harriet got situation controlled for all involved. Nervous few minutes for E21. Glad Harriet got him back under her. Hope E22 hatches soon! But then the bonking will start. It is amazing how E21 has grown since he/she hatched! Would never fit back into his/her shell again. Such a sweet personality! Harriet is one good mother! ❤️🦅

That must have been very scary for her. M is a master builder and they both knew what they needed in a nest. But, how many Moms would have been able to handle this emergency as well as she did! I'm so glad this accident has a happy ending!

That was interesting! I’ve never seen that happen before that I can remember!😊 E21 says, “Hey Mom I’m tall as you… looking face to face… you look different! I’m checking out what’s around out here! Thank God is isn’t too cold. 53 degrees. I know Harriet will get E21 back under her safely! They are having little chats. It won’t be long! It seems E22 is trying very hard to hatch but they keeps rolling the egg so the pip is underneath.Maybe that’s what’s got her a little upset. If Harriet does physically get 21 Finn. After E21 was accidently flung out the nest bowl it looked like Harriet knew something wasn't right. She was restless trying to incubate the egg but knew something was wrong. She could hear E21 chirping but couldn't feel her under her. Remember it's dark on the nest so Harriet couldn't see E21 only hear the chirps. Thank God she figured it out and got E21 back under her!

It is so awesome that M15 thought when he and Harriett were rebuilding the nest to put the rails up higher or like everyone said, it could have been a much more disastrous situation. I freaked out when I read the beginning of this video and thought OMG! But, mom Harriett is one absolute awesome mommy and she was for sure gonna make sure both of her babies were back under her and safe too.🦅🐣🐣❤️ It’s situations that happen like this that turn out completely alright in the end and everyone is safe once again. Whew, that was a long 9 minutes, waiting for Harriet to finally roll E21 safely under her! I knew there was a happy ending but I was still on pins and needles. At the end, Harriet told M15 all about it, and he immediately flew into the nest to make sure his family was okay. Then he flew back to the attic knowing all was well. ❤

E21 was a little fiesty yesterday during feeding and being a little bully to E22. This little one will be resilient growing up. We have seen these accidental tragedies and it is so sad. It was a scary few minutes lady Hawk! I kept looking at e21 out of the bowl, and looking at the cold temp, and yelling at that hatchling to get back under her mom! Thankfully, H knew what to do. It just took her what seemed to me an eternity to corral e21 and basically roll him back underneath her! Such a relief when that happened!

E21 just sits there looking around like "Look at me, I'm a big kid now!!" (last part said as in the tune of the Toys R Us theme song)

She is like, “that baby is in the wrong place…..what can I do? I guess a good roll might help!”

Popped in to check on them and Oh my, im frigging bawling my eyes out.. was so afraid an owl would fly by and grab the baby.
