I didnt think i would be able to watch it all in one sitting, but here i am! Very comprehansive guide. so far I avoided wars and opted to conquring though murdering family members of my spouse until my kids inherents everything from both sides. and when i was forced to perticipate in war my main strategy was to just do "bigger army diplomacy" bc i had no idea what any of the numbers on the screen ment other than the army size, so a lot of times i ended up with battles that were a lot closer than i expacted because even though my armies were bigger, they were really shitty in quility Also, from my limited experience its always better to go for an independence faction than going straight to war, the emperor of the holy roman empire was kind enough to just grant me indepandence when i sanded an ultimatum even though i had no one else in the faction with me

Phew, I finally made it through this video. I’m new to CK 3, I’ve literally discovered it like a few weeks ago. And I’m super invested. I’ve got a digital notebook and am researching everything to get a better understanding of this game, while also playing, of course. THANK YOU for taking me by the hand and explaining it as if I know nothing, because I really did know nothing, haha. My first time playing as a pagan badass witch was me just constantly breaking truces after winning wars for Irish counties, haha. I wasn’t sure why it happened but I figured I’d just keep soldiering on, literally. It worked out and I conquered Ireland that way, but at a price of course. So it was funny to learn why exactly and what my get around would have been. I would love to know more about knights, unless there really is not that much more to know about them. And a question: I remembering white peace-ing a war by sieging different holdings and getting my war score to 30 % but I believe this was a war for my entire realm. While the queen of England was sieging, I was heavily outnumbered and decided to siege some of her holdings. Is that then possible? Or do I misremember something? Because if so, then a possible strategy is to hurry up and siege as many holdings from the enemy to up the war score, right?

Thank you for the kind words :) I know my videos are really long so really thank you! I have a knight optimizing video that I recorded but need to re-record due to T&T updates to talk about accolades etc, but I've been really busy IRL so it might be some time sorry. You discovered an optimal strategy on your own, I'm very impressed :) It's actually a highly used strategy to have a full army of only siege weapons and then while the enemy is sieging your realm you base race them and siege them down before they can react. You can even hire a stack of mercenaries or send a small army of levies to distract the enemy AI armies while your other armies siege away as well. It also helps that siege weapons are cheaper to maintain. I didn't include it here because you have to be decently familiar with those war mechanics, but definitely use it if you're comfortable :)

How I understand and calculate counter, is it takes 2 companies to counter single company, and max counter is 90%.

I love your guides I started playing CK 2 at the end of its life cycle and been a CK3 player from the beginning i've basically conquered the whole map in a legit achievements on iron man game and still feel like I'm learning new shit every playthrough 😅😂

Thank you for your kind comment! I actually started the same way / similar time as you. In fact, I struggled the entire year of 2020 to play CK3 and I put it down, but then I picked it back up later and clocked in over 2000 hours. I'm still learning new things everyday, especially since there are so many combinations of regions/cultures/faiths/etc that I haven't played them all...and they keep releasing new content. This is definitely one of my favorite games of all time. I appreciate your support and thanks again :)

@@breadgodgaming hey no problem keep the videos coming 🙂 I recently played the shogunate mod (after I completed another ACK3GOT playthrough). Both great mods, I now downloaded the Asia expanded and a great trade route mod. I also like to complete the game and continue my playthrough in Europa Universalis 4.

Hi friend, excellent video. One question though, in 29:31 there is a battle where 1700 troop beat a 77000 troop stack. How was that even possible. I think your narrative at the point just doesn't capture the reasons behind everything that is happening and there is a lot of 'meat' in further discussing what is going on and how to create such 'unbeatable' armies. In real life you would never expect 1700 to beat an army of 77000 however given this is just a faulty game full of exploits and you might want to delve deeper in army content and factors that would allow the creation of powerfull small armies. Thank you.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm surprised you noticed haha. It definitely is not realistic but that was me pushing the game to its limits by doing extreme min-maxing. I have the raw video awaiting editing but it's in the middle of my priority list. I really miss summer breaks... This was meant to be just a beginner's guide so I thought the min-maxing was out of the scope this time. I only briefly mentioned it, but to improve your army mid-game and beyond we want to stack buildings that boost our troops. What I did was hold onto 9 duchy capital counties (which is also abnormal) and built 9 military academies. I also had a genetics program to create the strongest viking family so I had 80+ knights with an average of 50 prowess and about 1100% knight effectiveness meaning my army was worth about 5 million damage or the equivalent of 500,000 levies. Which is why they demolished the 77k stack and not just a close victory. Hope this clarifies a few things and sorry for the delay in releases

Defending or executing? Defending if you can attack the enemy as soon as they land, there is a “recently disembarked” -30 penalty advantage if they just got off a ship for 30 days so that’s the best time to strike. Sometimes you can fight off an army that is 50% larger because -30 advantage means you get +60% damage on the enemy If attacking, then focus fire on the castle holdings since you can get prisoners they are worth more than the loot from only raiding. There is an economic filter at the bottom right and the tiles with the special buildings (especially mines) will reflect places with high amounts of loot. For military strength, since we are tribal, we create troops with prestige. So in between raids and wars we want to go on hunts and feasts to gain as much prestige as possible to raise a strong men-at-arms army. Sorry I still don’t have a raiding video up yet. It’ll still be some time until I can get to it!
