The thing is, Piccolo's plan wasn't actually bad. They needed time to get Gotenks ready to fight Buu, he wouldn't be able to do it if they fought right away. So their options were A, fight now, Gotenks dies, the world is destroyed... or B, stall Buu long enough to get Gotenks ready, Gotenks kills Buu, and they wish everyone back to life with the Dragon Balls. Piccolo made one of the hardest calls anyone has to make in the entire series, thinking it'd take Buu a full day to kill all those people. That's the real tragedy of what happens after. All those lives lost, and it only buys them a few minutes.

Basically, Piccolo assumed Buu was going to do the same as Fat Buu, going from town to town killing humans, and taking his time, so they could have more time to train Goten and Trunks. Piccolo was very reluctant to make that choice, and was horrified when Buu did what he did instead

@@Painlesscoward maybe. I’m just goin off what Cell actually said in the anime. Plus when perfect cell came back with the zenkai boost after self destructing, he said “I can destroy the entire solar system with my energy now.” Which would imply that he couldn’t do it before…

Piccolo is always the brains, his plan wasn’t too bad, but Piccolo just wanted to give Gotenks enough time to train so that they would be strong enough to defeat Buu and they would have 6 hours to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, but Piccolo didn’t except for Super Buu to do what he did, but at the same time Piccolo did say that their are a lot of people still left on Earth that he could kill for his amusement while he waits the 1 hour.

the video does side step a few key points. like in the room of time and spirit, Gotenks wasnt actually losing, he was faking it to make it more 'dramatic' but failed to let Piccolo know he was bullshitting, which forced Piccolo to blow up the door to trap them in there. Thats why the scene before Buu screams you see Piccolo and Gotenks bitching at each other. He also quotes the english title of the episode which I have like a mile long complaint list when it comes to english language version of this show. The english title cards are typically spoiler heavy and have nothing in common with the original japanese title cards.

basically Fat Buu was the Grand Supreme Kai before Super Buu absorbed him (after said Buu absorbed North Kai while he was Kid Buu). so yeah, separate entity alright

The fat Buu, for some reason, held all the absorbed Kai that made kid Buu turn into super Buu. When Goku and Vegeta removed fat Buu from super Buu, he lost everyone that he absorbed so he reverted to his most original form.

Just realised Toriyama pulled Buu through the stages of Super Saiyan, the dog was Krillin for Buu, which results ultimately in Super (Saiyan) Buu, who then just before reaching Kid Buu (Super Saiyan 2) gets the giant muscular form as he's transforming (Ultra Saiyan, the form trunks, vegeta and goku showcase in the cell saga) before not only not bulking up, but actually getting SMALLER while increasing his speed and strength.
