No it wasn't the only way. They could have taken him out literally the same way as kaguya. They were shown to be able to hit him so they just needed to touch him at the same time. In fact, they literally had the opportunity. When sasuke first showed off his space shifting ability and they hit madara with the rasengan and chidori at the same time...if they just used their barehands instead it would have been over. Plus it's kind of hard to say they made madara too strong to beat when the enemy they immediately replaced him with was literally stronger than him

@@celinho68 they hit him multiple times...and as i said before the rasengan and chidori moment would have got him if they tried to seal him there because the rasengan and chidori successfully hit him. They caught him completely off guard. Madara was by no means untouchable

@Watcher kaguya wasn't planned way back. It was still last minute that he decided to create villains for boruto. Whatever little setup there was for her was grossly inadequate. The Zetsu thing was extremely contrived

@@ssickhead1 the differences between madara and kaguya is that madara can actually fight and kaguya can’t she just spammed AOE attacks it also the same reason naruto and sasuke lost to isshiki

Madara hated people standing behind him cos he could be betrayed and funny enough that was how he was defeated both times

Madara was so overpowered that the writer didn’t know how to kill him off in a satisfying or convincing manner.

I just wanted a real fight between Madara and naruto/Sasuke. why did they have to cut it so short like that.

It's a running joke amongst the Naruto fanbase about Madara's death. Kishimoto said in an interview that he killed off Madara the way he did because he made him way too powerful and he couldn't think of a plausible way to have Naruto and Sasuke beat him. Kishimoto alledged he was joking, but fans have taken his word seriously. To this day, people still debate about whether he was serious or not.

Yeah, the thing with the Reanimation(Edo Tensei) Justu is that normally when a dead person’s castor dispels the justu the go back to the afterlife but if the dead person knows the hand signs of the Jutsu itself, then they can revise the contract to where they can keep themselves active. Crazy, right?!
