You are a bit lacking knowledge about films. The people who make films and the people who present them are different. Probably A24 is the presentation of this film not the production. A single company cannot production of an A-grade film.

Not really, i disagree, this unfortunately feels more "fake", "hollywood", with the CGI explosions and what not. This movie looks expensive. Children of Men felt more real, still looking forward to seeing it though.

Hit or miss Alex Garland delivers unique, cool settings for his stories. His last movie wasn't so good but this looks like it could be his best
The internet and satellites going down and a civil war from within with no clear sides makes it looks like a sequel of the Netflix movie "Leave the world behind"

I'm still skeptical. Studio is legit, director is good, cast is good. It just feels kind of bad though. I just don't want to watch a movie about a modern American civil war. It feels kind of pervish because they're so many unhinged people hoping for such a thing to actually happen.

Saw it in IMAX - Intense and we were kind of shell shocked. The last 25 minutes in DC was balls to the wall. Great stuff.
My favorite actors with one of my favorite directors. Really looking forward to it.
There isn’t enough good material to cover Kirsten Dunst’s range. And with Alex Garland (MEN, ANNIHILATION, EX MACHINA) directing? This…should…be…EPIC!

I always thought the most realistic portrayal of a current day civil war was Euel Arden’s-Down Here in the Warmth. Takes place in NYC- race riots, militia in Manhattan. Really good book.

This looks amazing and I have loved everything Alex have done before this so the hype is real! Will probably look, and sound, amazing in IMAX. A24 is going big!

no way! dude doesn't get his flowers. he has the same visual storytelling capacity of Villeneuve and Nolan but his movies are much, much smarter. and that's from someone who really loves Villeneuve's films, they're just more on the emotional side where Garland's are more cerebral.

@@K.C-2049yeah he pretty much confirmed this a few weeks ago. Said he’s fallen out of love with filmmaking and wants to concentrate on writing screenplays for other people to direct. He’s going to co-direct one more movie after this called Warfare. I guess he wants to go out on a high.
Great movie, loved it ! As a photographer myself, this raised many great questions.
Great. More happy and uplifting stuff to watch in an ever increasingly stressful world.

I watched this movie a few hours ago. I am a documentarian myself and know several people who filmed the war. This film captures the feeling as closely as possible, especially those moments when you zone out and feel like you're immortal behind your camera.

Read one short story where the nuclear capable commanders unilaterally decided they would isolate America during the civil war. If any foreign power tried to take advantage, they would get nuked. They agreed whomever won would gain control of the arsenal. This made trying to seize/use nukes by either faction unimportant, and kept the destruction of America safe from foreign interference.
For my brothers & sisters in the USA, I hope this never happens.

Kirsten Dunst looks amazing in this. I can totally see this film jump starting her career back into stardom. Kind of like what “The Whale” did for Brendan Fraser…

All that is known so far is that the president is a three term president. Not sure if he canceled elections or what. I also read reviews that say it never really gets into it, and the stage that they are at is almost like they forgot why they were fighting and everyone was just kind of living in the moment. Like when the sniper says were trying to kill someone who is trying to kill us.
