I came to watch the trailer because everyone’s been telling me to watch it after seeing this I’m like wtf ill pass

I think the trailer doesn't give away anything. Which is a nice change of pace. Sometimes, you watch movies and realize the best parts were ones you'd already seen in the trailer. So, props to a good trailer. Excellent movie btw

@@ryanblue4166 The trailer also doesn't show any dialogue, which is clearly an attempt to mislead English speaking folk into thinking its not a foreign film with subtitles. This is one of my favourite movies of all time, but they've clearly made the trailer so vague to appeal to the American mass market

This movie was excellent, not what I expected. Love the narrative, the music! Very intense and jacked up, but it seems so real. On the edge of my seat the whole time. Loved it, so emotional and raw.

A lot of the time, amazing movies have horrible trailers because it's hard to capture how good the movie is in a 2 minute sneak peek. Just watch City of God. One of the best movies I've ever seen

That's why I never watch trailers for old movies before watching the movie. Them trailers can't be trusted yo.

A hidden gem of the early 2000s. What a movie. The actors do an amazing job, even the ones that have secondary role. Everyone is so believable and the favelas atmosphere is set in a way that punches you in the stomach. 10/10 ...pequeno Ze!!!

This was like "Goodfellas" in many ways. The cinematography was arguably the best I have even seen in a film. It's a must-see. Get past the brutality and embrace the brilliance.

The way the trailer was edited made it looks like the anti-Piracy "Piracy, It's a Crime" commercial you often see when playing a movie dvd, lol.

This is one of the best films I ever seen in my life and my favorite Brazilian movie ever at least so far. EU sou Mexicano Americano mais EU amo a Todo Brasil 🇧🇷

Wow the movie was based on true events. It's an eye opener. Glad that Rocket followed a more peaceful path.

Esta película fue muy intensa, pero cuenta una muy buena historia del ciclo de violencia que puede ocurrir en este tipo de sociedades. Cuando la policía no hace su trabajo, admiten que los capos de la droga controlen la ciudad. Realmente disfruté la historia a través del aspecto interno del joven fotógrafo que quería abandonar la ciudad autodestructiva. Aunque también fue bastante triste ver que la violencia escalaba de los adultos a los niños. Las tomas de primer plano y los tonos geniales combinados con las imágenes sobreexpuestas utilizadas en esta película realmente configuran el ambiente. Agregó ese intenso sentimiento dramático que hizo que todo pareciera real. Creo que el director hizo un excelente trabajo retratando los eventos trágicos que tuvieron lugar.

The Brazilians have excellent acting academies, they deserve the oscar! Xica da Silva, it was a novel but the acting was very impeccable!

Hi, I am an art student who is also involved in photography projects. I recently started to capture more city life and it made me think of this film. The main character is under this gelled protection as it gets more and more dramatic around him, but also seems kinda down, because as if walking is a job... Between the what-nooo moments, Rio seems lovely :)

This movie makes boyz n the hood look like Disneyland. People literally have to rob and steal to survive, these poor fucks dont roll up in a car, let alone a bike. Closest you can compare this to is skidrow in LA if youve ever driven through. THAT is a long ass street full of ghetto homeless crack heads

Take 5fwy north get off 7th street and drive toward downtown LA. You will pass through skidrow. Compton/watts is hollywood compared to that.

Goddamn whoever made this needs to be fired for tarnishing such an amazing movie, and possibly steering away newcomers. Also this literally misleads the viewer into thinking it’s in English.

Very early 00s trailer, it even had the "ONE MAN.." line lol dont let it put you off The movie is up there with Goodfellas, for goodness sake watch it. One of the best movies put to film.

Rocket fue un personaje que creció durante la película. Él comenzó como un personaje débil. Lil Dice muestra cómo un barrio malo puede crear una mala persona. Me preguntaba dónde estaban los padres. Creo que la película muestra cómo continúa la violencia en las comunidades pobres. los niños aprenden violencia de las personas mayores. Rocket es la excepción al ciclo de violencia. La película también muestra cuán corrupta puede ser la policía. la película es realista, la policía es similar a la policía hoy.
