A tonic, and perhaps solution, for the bleakness of the current world situation, "Women Of The World" is the second single to be taken from the forthcoming Ivor Cutler tribute album Return To Y'Hup: The World of Ivor Cutler, released on 24 January 2020 on Chemikal Underground Records.
The single features Tracyanne Campbell (Camera Obscura) on lead vocals, with back-up vocalists including Stuart Braithwaite (Mogwai). One of Ivor Cutler's most beloved songs, it has been reimagined with lush harmonies and buoyant instrumentation, calling out for women to stand-up and take-over before the world comes to an end.
