I just received this watch after buying because of your video. This watch is PERFECT for me! The negatives you mention certainly exist (small crown, mineral crystal, date window size/depth and hard to read hands at certain angles), but they are all overshadowed by the positives for me. It’s looks, height, weight, and the strap comfort are unlike any watch I’ve been trying on. I LOVE IT. Thank you for this video!

At that price mineral crystal is fine, if it scratches up, just replace it with sapphire. Not an expensive upgrade, and of course pay a bit more and get it pressure tested,

My Citizen Pro-masters lume outlasts my Seikos and my Orient Ray (which is also probably Lumibrite). Not nearly as initially bright but it totally beats them for legibility overnight. I think it’s because it absorbs as much energy, but doesn’t release it in a big burst. Really holds on to the energy and releases slowly.

I owned that exact watch for a year. I loved how it looked, but it has 3 issues that kept getting on my nerves. 1) Any slight down pressure on the bezel, and it really resisted moving. Slight pull was required to be smooth. 2) The Skeleton hands get lost in the markers. 3) The crown is frustrating to manipulate with medium to large hands. It is too small. It keeps great time. It has terrific lume. Good face contrast. Great proportions, weight, and dimensions. And it is a great price, but the warts get annoying eventually.

Now that’s how to do a dive watch. Can’t quite put my finger on what it is (perhaps a more upmarket Casio Dura?). Eco drive so no bother with winding and setting (perhaps why the crown can be smaller) plus titanium so it’s light and at a great price. If I didn’t have way too many divers I would deffo buy it. I also agree the rubber looks great and I’m a bracelet guy! Full marks Citizen. 👍

Good review. This review popped up on my feed the other day. I already bought it. I like the watch. It's light and thin. It sits nice and low on the wrist. Great balance. The second hand lines up with the ticks on the chapter ring too. The bezel isn't as positive as I'm used too, but it's ok. My biggest gripe is the buckle on the strap. It's kind of sharp where it pivots on the strap. It stabs me when I put any pressure on the buckle toward my wrist. I'll reshape that part of the buckle at some point. This is one of the nicer rubber straps I've come across so I'd like to wear it. Now it's on a 22mm Barton NATO and it's really comfortable. I like the darker tone of titanium too.

I don’t own a Citizen yet, but from all the reviews that I’ve seen, their loom on divers watches is very, very good. Plus, their eco models are so easy to keep charged and so accurate time keepers that they blow away all Automatic watches, regardless of cost. Personally, I find those two features to be very attractive. Mechanical watches are marvels in their own right, but quartz based movements are functionally superior. Their accuracy is unreal. At worst they are +/- < 1 second per day. At best, they receive radio or satellite signals updating them to perfect time even when crossing time zones. They have technical advantages that are simply insurmountable for mechanical movements of any price. I think a good watch collection should contain mechanical and quartz based examples. Some might not agree, depending on their priorities.

Titanium watches have a distinct advantage over stainless steel, platinum and gold-filled timepieces. Titanium is a light-weight metal that is highly resistant to corrosion, making it a suitable metal for outdoor, sports-style use. The only downside of titanium watches are pricy, however, this citizen is completely affordable.... A great watch to own.

If anyone is wondering about the wording of "base titanium", "Base metal" is a jewellery/watch industry term which means "not gold, silver or platinum". It's to make it clear that this watch is not made of precious metal, rather than giving any indication about the type of titanium.

It bought it and sold it. Maybe regretfully. It vaguely reminds me of the Tag Aquaracer Solargraph. But there are some issues. It would be better 2mm smaller. Too much dead space in the dial. the crown could be a little bigger. If the bezel was titanium finish, not black, with black numbers, it would look amazing. Maybe a splash of color with the second hand. WHen I had it i felt it was a bit bland. But with some tweaks it would be a an amazing watch

I picked one of these up on the titanium bracelet last year from eBay for just over $200. It's a nice piece, however, the bezel action on mine is non-existent. There are no discernible clicks at all, and the sensation when turning the bezel is akin to a pepper mill, with an unpleasant grinding feel. I'd read that this was a problem with this model, but decided to roll the dice anyway, and lost.
