This is a brilliant animation, and does explain some of the more basic concepts of 3D to people :D I loved the 50's style. People just don't do the effort to make stuff like this good anymore, you know? Really good job.
From now on, whenever anyone asks what I do for a living, I'm sending them this movie. Excellent work guys!
This is my favorite animation on youtube.
It's one of the must see. We're working with motion graphic and finally we found the clear explanation of the process of our work. Love it!
"Just have fun with it" "needs more' wow' factor" "make it more 'dreamy'."
Nice work and a lot of truth in it. I like the old cinema picture style and of course the vintage voice over :-)
I am so going to send it to my clients.This clip totally articulate my thoughts. Thx for this they will finally understand how the system works.
This is flat out the best introduction to the animation production process that I have ever seen. Thanks so much! I'll be showing this to every student I haveI Great humor too!
This is so cool, it feels like I'm wacthing something from the 60's.
Everybody needs to see this o.o Send it to elementary schools everywhere!
Great work whoever made this! Lovin' it. :)
Oh I looove the style SO much! Terribly delicious!

Excellent Idea and work! ccongrats, very lovely!

I really love this one!! The style is awesome and it's a lot of fun to watch. At least for those who practice 3d animation ;)
Thats really nice work. Well explained! I did want to hear more about the rasterizing and z-sorting though...
nice tutorial man, helped me heaps aye.
WAO, esta genial, felicidades a los creadores!
Excellent done. There you have the nearly 50-step process to create computer animation, for some a nap may be required before starting :)
That was ACE! Next time one of my elderly relatives is trying to understand that 'Computer Animation' I do for I living, I'm just going to play them this :D
Ha ha ha...Great work! I'll have to show this to some clients in future

1:25 - 1:32 = The story of my life. We need more pigeons.
Nice men !
I'm really wondering where you got all that footage from. very nice & funny vid
XXXXXXDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD that last scene with the quote xDDDDDD
@1:19 "Concept draw-rings?" LOL.
@Vikramthewhite Like they say: "fast/cheap/good, pick any two"
Great job! I totally understood. How much do you charge for 1 min of 3d?
Effing genius
genius.
What's a Draw-Ring?
This is great! We Love it!.,.. Here are our comments: Can we change the narrator to a Miley Cirus sound-Alike? and I have to run this by some people who won't be available, but this needs to fit into a 10 second endTag. thanks! We are getting there! :p
At 0:52 what are the animation films in the top center and top right?
my favourite part was when the potato that is in the video with the face on it
no mention of compositing then? considering the extent of the piece, that's a weirdly massive omission...
There are 7 clients whose didn't like the fact that on the end they cannot change anymore the boy into a half boy/half girl/half tank.
@joetainment .... typo, "havel" should have read "have!"
we'll have to "render" it :D
@Vikramthewhite So you are saying a Minimum of $3600 for 1 min of Animation?
This is an excellent video in every respect, from the animation to the dialogue and really clarifying how things work. Sadly, however, the retro 50's style and cheeky narrator is too obnoxious and patronizing for anyone I know to tolerate it for more than a minute :( Still, great video and props to those involved.
why is the boy all blue?
hallelujah! :D
@tieInterceptor you've obviously missed the point of this movie. Its an example of the process of producing a tvc. Jobs require structure to stay within budget. Constant changes have consequences.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH i cried ;(
Welcome to my world
I was joking. I did like the "sciencey" diagrams though.
i need powerful machines to render my stuff!
@optionshiftk New Zealand
Bravo! Still, I'm not sure people will get it.
Clients wont get it, even told like this. I gave up years ago.
only problem i have with these animation companies is the way they present things to clients... the client comes to YOU to design and create somthing, so when you show them a whole bunch of examples of what they want, how are they suppose to know whats good and works?? should be up to the company to create and choose the best for the job.
Oh... you choose Blueberry and Peanut Butter...
Brilliant! It's a shame you have to go to this extreme to educate clients though - It's not like we have to understand how they build their cars to do the advertising work on them! :/
@Tabloid42 LOL
is it mine... NO
And your budget just got halved and we changed our minds its now going to be 20 mins long, and we want george cloony, and it has to look like happy feet or lord of the rings. Think cave troll.
"What is this shit?"
