400Daddy. Hmm. We'll let the marketing team know...
I honestly save your videos for a good time to watch them. You always have at least one line that makes me laugh out loud. Keep up the great work and don’t change for anything.
Believe it or not 400D is actually Ektar repackaged with Remjet added, and then removed
You forgot a critical part of this video… Where is the Baxter test shot?
Heads up there’s somebody out here Pretending to be Jason telling you to hit him up on Telegram be aware it is not him.
Interesting that you experienced halations considering Cinestill explicitly says this is a new emulsion and not a repackaged motion picture stock in their campaign FAQ. The plot thickens....
As someone who has a ton of 220 backs laying around the house, i'm genuinely excited to see if 400d in 220 gets released later this year.
I hate those halations on daylight film. They look just like bad chromatic abberations. Might as well just shoot Silbersalz35 with true ECN-2 processing. It 's essentially the same film stock. Unless you develop your own film, it 's not that much more expensive since Silbersalz35 is covering both film development and HDR scan.
Not gonna lie, I supported the campaign because film, but now that I'm seeing what you made here. I'm very excited to get my hands on 400D, great work in this one. Cheers captain
Abandoned houses. Take 3765. How interesting.
400Damn woulda been a great name. Every photo had me like… “damn” in a good way
Baxter's appearances:
God I love your editing, so smooth, and well paced.
I'm looking forward to getting my 35mm 400D rolls for a trip this summer, so thank you for this review and for the examples you provided. I absolutely love your videos and your delivery. Thanks for your work!
I believe it isn't the removal of the remjet layer that changes the iso/ei, but the fact that it's being cross processed in c-41 that makes it seem more light sensitive. I heard it also changes the latitude and more of brings the darker areas up a little more, so there's less dynamic range, as it effectively slides the lower end up to brighter. Idk if that makes much sense but it's my best explanation lol
I believe the ISO of Cinestill Film is higher than the Kodak Vision3 stock it comes from is not necessarily because of the RemJet, but primarily because of the differences of the ECN-2 vs C41 process. I remember seeing this somewhere on the APUG section of the Photrio forums.
there is nothing better in the world then watching one of jasons movies hardly stoned. All this Pictures are so wonderful man. Looks like paintings to me. youre great jason, keep it up!
The 'halations' part is the best part for me, I'm feeling like I'm into another type of your world, the music pump me up haha
Never miss one of your videos! Your photography and knowledge are absolutely inspiring!!!
