Have some queries here, Does the shutter dial on a Rolleiflex only stops when loaded with a film? Or should it stop even when it's empty? Cause mine doesn't stop.

I think the slide shots in TWA on 50 mm were some of your best work. The colors look amazing as well, typical of slide film. I wish Fujifilm stopped discontinuing their color negative film so that we would have options that didn't look brown or gray like Kodak or other options.

I appreciate that you're telling people not to crap on either medium but saying things like "film captures the soul of a moment more effectively" kinda bothers me. Non-camera people assume that film is somehow more artistic. Just adding the words "film photography" automatically boosts the attention photos get. And this sort of "soul" assertion pushes that agenda. If the day felt green to me, digital affords me the latitude to color my photo in the way the memory felt. But if all I can afford is film that is very contrasty, it doesn't matter how the moment felt at the time, my shot will be contrasty. Limitations encourage creativity, and for that reason film is amazing. You spoke to that. But asserting that digital has less soul is just silly. The soul comes from the 8 inches behind the camera.

I really like the opening lobby pictures. The somewhat blown highlights lend themselves well to the overall decor and add that sort of dreamy feel to a very retro yet modern location

This is what happens when your coworker ... who complained all the time, couldn't write good code, couldn't articulate concepts, goes into management ... then sucks at THAT because he has 0 empathy or soft skills ... finds KZread .. quicks his job.. then goes and makes 1/5th the money, but is finally happy .. but isn't very good still. BUT .. BUT .. is happy. I applaud that level of effort.

I have the Leica M8 and 90mm F2 lens used by Audrey Tautou in the Chanel film by Jean Pierre Jeunet - it was given to her as a gift - the reason Jean used this camera was to "not to distract from the beauty of Audrey" they used a little plastic to cover the 'M8' - as a Pro I do get a lot of questions asked about cameras but this one gets the most attention

I'm assuming you got scammed. Even if he wasn't scamming and he did truly die, he still is an ass for even volunteering when his health is shit and didn't plan ahead so someone can either continue or at least send back the camera back to the owner if he does die during middle of repair.

Most Polaroid sx70 photos (from the 1970s SPECIFICALLY) fell under one of these 8 examples: 1.) Casual pics of family/friends 2.) Pics of romantic couples 3.) Iconic holiday items like Xmas tree, Thanksgiving table, etc. 4.) Pics during vacations and other outings 5.) Moments related to cherished celebrations 6.) Pics for professional documentation and other purposes 7.) Pics of your favorite car 8.) Pics of something snow covered. The main differences from today is that there were no frivolous or wasteful photos, no pics on the fly (like capturing spontaneous moments), and rarely were Polaroids used for artistic attempts at photography.

In the for what it's worth dept., (not much), The scene where you photographed a dead tree in the flat countryside you said to the effect that this is what the whole State of Ohio looks Like. Actually there are five distinct regions in the state. The Great Lakes Plains, the Till Plains, The Appalachian Plateau, The Bluegrass Region and the Lake Erie Shoreline. Your tree shot probably was taken in the till region named because it's used tp cutivate crops. Ohio, in my opinion has a subtle beauty. The grandeur of the Rockies is several hundreds of miles to the west. Your glib comments alone make your channel worth viewing. I'm at least old enough to be your great grandfather. your meanderings with your friends takes me back to my twenties when we did similar things. Keep your videos coming.
