The fact that they were just a few steps away from freedom and they got called back to "prison" 😂😂😂 and her dad hightailed it out of there like the grim reaper himself was after him and left the daughter to fend for herself 😂😂😂

I love how you can see many of the father's mannerisms in the daughter in bith this scene and throughout the series!

Zhao Lusi has best acting skills aside from her stunning beauty, and charm

How true! Her expressions, mode of walking suited to the situation, everything about her speak louder than words. I don't follow the language, but the tone somehow goes with the translated content!

This series never gets old 😂

She definitely inherited her father's plasent and kind personality and her mother's stubborn free indomitable spirit. Actually she inherited the best traits from them and was what made her survive in the past with her bad and abusive relatives.😂

The father and daughter team is hilarious. The expressive eyes of ZL is so effectively unbelievable coupled with his hand gestures intended to be awkward, brilliant.

I love this drama, comedy, historical , love story. Director is fantastic getting these two best actor actress Zhao Lusi and Wou Lei so far the best couple I adore.

This has got to be one of the funniest scenes!!! He is so overwhelmingly handsome but gives off the enormous vibes of Count Dracula!! And Rosy. She is such a fantastic actor. She and her Dad give off a "terrified" of the General thing😂😂😂. Then her Dad just goes off and leaves her with Ling. Just too funny!!!😂😂😂 Love it!!

The director is so wonderful. In this scene, where shots of each of the characters look toward another character (8:34 to 8:36) is so awesomely creative and hilarious.

Leo Wu make a great vampire , maybe he can be one in a drama with Lusi the human he loves lolol

Honestly, the timing of the royalty-free Christmas music at 6:00 is just *chef’s kiss*
